“What a magical place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

This cemetery is a beautiful wildlife haven on the edge of the City Centre, with grand old crumbling graves and stunning atmosphere. Tread lightly and with respect!

“A beautiful place to visit rain or shine.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

A true treasure of a place to visit in gloomy or beautiful weather. Lovely walks and fantastic wildlife. So quiet too, you would never guess you are right next to the A4! The cafe is brilliant too, tasty treats and at good prices, lovely friendly staff as well. I'll definitely be back.

“peace, tranquility and dead folk”

A fantastic walk, plenty of history and interesting buildings. Highly recommend for all ages, although some of the paths are a little steep and untreated. A nice coffee shop too.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

Arnos Vale is a slightly different place to visit : but definitely worth a trip! Absolutely fascinating! Enjoyed looking at the yarn creatures in the trees: the various different names on the graves, and who is buried here - a really interesting look into Bristols social history. I do have family members buried here, but absolutely no idea where! Lovely looking restaurant on site, and some good walking (though take wellies as a bit muddy!)

“Photography opportunities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Went here as part of a photo shoot for my son's A Level photography. There is a cafe which looked quite nice with a variety of food on offer. Lovely walk round the cemetery with very interesting head stones etc
