“A free museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

It seems much money has been ploughed into this museum - sadly there were not that many folk having a look - they all seemed to be sitting in the cafe - loved the displays

“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Good value museum on Queens rd. Kept out 4 boys busy most of the day on a wet school holiday. Lots to see and do and now the ground floor has tables and seats to bring your own food. While the cafe seems ok, it is hideously expensive for 6 of us.

FREE to get in, amazing exhibitions and art shows, kids corner, cafe, loads to see. The gypsy caravan is lovely and the stuffed Gorilla is amazing! Well worth a visit.

“Surprisingly good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

We were uncertain what to expect from this museum. It's a little off the beaten track but there is on-street parking which we found to be free on a Sunday. The museum is also free (with a donation of £2 suggested). There is lots to see on 3 levels. It's a really nice museum. Our 2 and 4 year old enjoyed the dress-up area the most. The cafe is also nice.

“Great afternoon out”

a great attraction to have in the heart of the city, the kids especially loved the explorer backpacks available for hire from the shop, a great way to keep the younger entertained
