What's not to like, free entry to the museum (check opening times), friendly volunteers to greet you. Interesting varied exhibits, from toy soldiers, old gas cookers, a relic from Hiroshima, clothes and shoes to name but a few. Nearby is a well appointed playground, with a cafe serving breakfast and fast food at very reasonable prices. There are plenty of long walks available, with some fantastic views and scenery from the folly castle. Shame about the number of dogs (I'm a cat person), but still plenty of grass available to have a kick around with a football. A nice cheap day out for the family, which is a rare beast in this day and age.
