“Only bad thing-poor staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

This is a reasonably priced park with lots to do for all ages. Good facilities and plenty of activities (went in the week day term time so was fairly quiet). Both children aged 2 and 7 enjoyed themselves and didn't get bored all day. It rained a fair bit but didn't matter as there is a large indoor play area for all ages to go mad in. The only downside for us is that the staff were very uninterested and didn't seem to enjoy working with animals or children. The pig race for example was conducted by 3 members of staff and consisted of each child choosing a piece of colored paper from a tub (which we guessed related to an unidentifiable pig), the pigs running up the course, then a lolly pop being given to those children with the correct colored paper and denying all other children of a sweet (which did not go down well with the 2 year old) without as much of a wOrd being spoken. A bit of excitement from the staff would have created a much better atmosphere for everyone. Inside the play area were signs everywhere saying no adults on the slides. Two adults from our group took the children on the slides while the staff were watching. It was a good thing for us but again, a sure sign that the staff were uninterested in their job. A similar story could be told for the animal petting staff. Apart from the staff however, a great day was had by all and will definitely return, just a shame it could be so much better. Great park and well laid out.

Thank you for your review its great to have feedback be it good bad or indifferent. I think you comments are all very valid and we will be looking to improve the staffs enthusiasm in future, I think to be honest it was just so very cold on the day , we are looking into improving the pig racing, and in future they will be much more visible for colours etc. , the play barn does have strict height restrictions and unless accompanying a disabled child should not have been on the play equipment. it was great you other wise enjoyed your day and I think with your criticism firmly taken on board we will definitely try to improve on all areas you have touched upon. the park is normally a lovely place to work and be and I think perhaps we were certainly having an off day.

We visited this lovely park with our Grand daughter. She loved it! - and so did we. We are hoping to visit again next year.

“Loved it so much we bought a season ticket!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012 via mobile

We do not live far away from Avon Valley and despite now visiting a number of times we think it's as wonderful as the first time we went . Our child is 7 and so it is an effortless few hours out. Sometimes I just take a book with me while she plays nearby. This year we bought a season ticket and have certainly got great value for money. Love seeing all the animals. Great family day out!
