arrived 17/3/11 with my husband and grandaughter who is 9 years old , when i booked a room initialy it was for just a double , i asked for a better room ,as money was not the issue , i then rang and added my grandaughter the lady said she would then putus in a bigger room i said ok expecting SAME STANDARD that i enquired about on booking , when we arrived the staff were lovely friendly happy and accomadating , cant say i was impressed with room 28 take note it was dreadful we had a small double bed and a camp bed zed bed crammed next to each other , you had to walk over the double bed to get to the horrible camp bed which by the way i slept in !!i nanny with arthritis ! it was next to a boiling hot radiator the zed bed had an old type wool blanket on it not a duvet , but we managed to go to bed did not sleep much but at 5am in the morning the bin men came and emptyed the bottle bank we were all woke up and after that we could not sleep again , also outside our room was a huge expelair type fan which made a terrible noise untill about 12pm ..................at 6am i went down to reception the owner of the hotel was there i explained to her how we felt and she moved us to room 32 which was nice plenty of room good beds and we continued our stay , i will say that i feel as i have my own buisness and i no how to treat my customers that there was some thing lacking at this hotel ,it could be fabulous but i felt the lady owner to attentive to her computor and her hobby that she misses whats going on at the hotel , she never onced made a point of asking us was we happy was the food good and she should of been there when we left there was no reduction on the bill for the first awful night !! that would of impressed us we spent £700 on a 2 day stay and ate all meals in hotel , will add breakfast was 100% superb evening meals were not that great but ok ... had a lot better but staff at this hotel were super amazing...
