5 'staff' chatting behind the counter. 3 separate customers sitting waiting in the coffee shop.
What's the procedure. Who knows. Who cares. Certainly not the staff.
In frustration you go to counter and ask for a coffee. Surprised look from startled girl. When (the very average) coffee arrives you will be asked to put your credit card behind the counter or pay cash there and then. It's just a coffee for heavens sake, not a round of drinks.
The accolades this place has got since they opened has gone to these people's heads. Customer service, good manners and an understanding that coffee shop customers can also be deli customers seems to be beyond their understanding.
There are dozens of better places in Clifton for a coffee. There re other Deli's. I for one will not be going back and nor I suspect will the other 3 regular customers who were all left waiting by 'staff' who were 'too busy' to give them the time of day.
