Our office Christmas party was being held in the King's Room within the Marriott hotel and we had overnight reservations. On arriving earlier than the check-in time we were still able to use the hotel's carpark having logged in our car registration details beforehand. We did a little shopping in town and then returned to check in. We were welcomed warmly and also offered a complimentary drink. Our room was lovely. Lots of lights, mirrors, storage space and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was spotless and well appointed. I couldn't fault anything. Our evening function was also very good and the food surprisingly tasty and hot considering the large numbers catered for. We heard a little noise from outside in the distance but it is Christmas, a city full of students and party goers at this time of year so to be expected. The hotel is, after all, in the middle of the city. Breakfast was amazing - spoilt for choice and the restaurant looked lovely with crisp white tablecloths and napkins. We were greeted warmly and attended to straightaway with our tea and coffee. It was hard to choose what to have!
Check out was swift and the staff charming. All in all a very pleasant stay and although we only live a short distance away we are now considering staying again for over a weekend to catch a show at one of Bristol's theatres.
