My partner and I were moved to this hotel by another hotel after the room we booked was 'out of order', which in itself is a long story. This being said due to this the other hotel had booked us in so we just had to turn up and go straight to our room.
We were told that the room had a view of the harbour (3rd fllor) and if I squinted and the wind blew the trees i could just see some water through the trees, not really a harbour view.
The room seemed clean and tidy, but little things such as sockets missing on the sideborad and patches of paint missing let it down.
The bathroom was clean and had everything we required, just the one issue with the plug not working in the sink.
The bed was not very comfortable and the noisy air con didn't help. When we turned off the air con the room then became too hot to sleep.
The added bonus after a poor nights sleep was at 0700 hours listening to the cleaners coming out of their store cupboard next to our room with the squeeky door. Also listening to other guests walking in the corridor i felt like i was part of their conversation of what to have for breakfast.
There was a small amount of noise coming from the bars on the other side of the water but you had to listen carefully.
The service was good and the bar area was comfortable and helpful friendly staff.
We were only there for 1 night and so did not complain about the little issues. It is at a very good location and ideal to get anywhere in the centre of the city.
We left feeling a bit disappointed. I don't think we would return but it was a busy weekend of the harbour festival so their standards may have been a little bit down.
