I went there for a lovely event which I thoroughly enjoyed, but I can't say the same for the quality of food at this restaurant.
To begin with this tiny restaurant had over 60 people packed it, it was like being in a sardine can. The waitress had to walk sideways in order to get through as did everyone else , and it made for a most uncomfortable setting.
The Wait staff were all uniformly helpful and pleasant, were the food as good , it would have been a delightful dining experience.
The appetizer which I had, was calamari, the breading was unpleasently thick, and the calimatri itself seemed a bit slimy, the worst I have ever had.
My main was a piece of chicken breast on a plate, with sauce on it.. I did find about four thinly sliced pieces of potato and one tiny piece of courgette,
One of the other diners had the steak which was not very good, and was served with mange tout and sweet potatoes... a most peculiar combination.
Desert was served in small portions with tea or coffee and little small mince pie..
So by the time you added a 10% service charge and even a soft drink the cost came to about ££25.00 per person, more if you had wine or an alcoholic drink, not a huge price for a good Holiday dinner, but in this case, it cost far more than it was worth.
Perhaps the food would have seemed slightly less unpleasent had the reataurant not packed people in so tightly.
