“Great hotel in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Use this hotel regularly for business. Good size rooms and service is always good. My tip would be to try and avoid the 1st floor as it can be a bit noisy with traffic - especially at the back of the hotel. Would recommend though. Location is excellent.

Its so easy to become used to high standards of friendliness in a Hotel but the staff here were exceptional. Right from the check-in to check out, everyone in the hotel was friendly and aimed to ensure you had the best stay possible.
Cleanliness was superb, with every nook and cranny wholly spotless. The rooms are stylishly decorated, as are the public areas with a well balanced combination of open and more intimate spaces.
The room had efficient aircon, a modern and well designed bathroom and the comfort of the bed was tremendous. The room was also quiet and once inside the room there were no sounds of other doors shutting, lift shafts moving and all the normal noises which can become so irritating when staying in hotels. Clearly the investment in changing what was the head office of the Bristol & West Building Society into a smart and welcoming hotel was well worth it.
The hotel is quite original in its style, something which appears to be true of the Radisson Blu hotels and each has particular style and class. Well worth the money and I look forward to booking in again soon.
The location is also excellent being right alongside the floating harbour of Broad Quay, the trendiest eating and drinking area and close to the main shopping and business areas. A walk from the main station (Temple Meads) is easy and takes only a few minutes.
Highly recommended.

Despite being in the midst of the heatwave, the air conditioning did its job. Comfortable and spacious room although the view was not great. Excellent breakfast. Wifi very good. Definitely go again.
Cons - Parking, best bet is NCP in Queen Charlotte St £35 for a week only 5 mins away. Also the hospitality tray is sparse and the kettle has a very short lead.

The stay started out wonderful. Clean, modern rooms. Nice bathrooms. Location can't be beat. My issue is with the service and with the wifi. Re: service...housekeeping repeatedly left dirty/used coffee cups in the room and we kept having to order more. It would take so long for the new ones to arrive I'd have to walk to the restaurant and grab some from them. The second service issue is the lack of a free adapter. We had the UK adapter for US devices, but they had an outlet that wouldn't take it. When we asked to borrow one for the night, they said no. Last issue is with wifi. Wifi was extremely slow and lagging. Also, everytime the Mac or iPhone went to sleep, you'd have to reconnect to wifi when it awoke.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

I’m sorry to hear of the issues experienced and surprised to hear that we were unable to supply you with an adaptor as we usually always have these available, we do find that usually guest's will prefer to purchase them from us for a small fee.

If upon your next stay you should have any issues with the WIFI please let my team know as they will be able to provide technical assistance.

Stayed here for 5 nights on a business trip and i cannot find fault with this hotel at all. Fantastic service from staff, food was great at breakfast (didn't eat here at night) and my room was massive and comfortable. It was cleaned everyday and there was ample space for everything.
Being in the centre of meant i didnt have far to go to find anything and it is a perfect location for exploring the city day and night. Being on the first floor my view was not spectacular but a view of the sqaure which was still lovely. I would expect the views higher up to be amazing!
Will definately choose to stay here again on my next trip down.

We've stayed at most of Bristol's central hotels and this is the best so far. We upgraded to a Business Class room and the view from our 9th floor corner room was outstanding, especially fortunate to view the Harbour Festival fireworks. The room was well equipped (free wi-fi and Nespresso machine). Check-in staff, especially Nacho, were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very substantial. We couldn't fault it.

Have stayed here a couple of times and on both times the service was great. Location is brilliant, right in the heart of the city, on a bus route to Bristol Temple Meads railway station.

Easy check in with friendly, efficient and interested staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds, clean fresh linen and good selection of pillows. Bathrooms well laid out and of good size - anti steam mirrors are a bonus, not too good if you are short. And of course the shower is powerful and works.

Have not eaten in the evening, but breakfast is good, brilliant selection of food and attentive staff. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back - centre of Bristol is alive until late!
