“Great buildings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Very photographic. Lovely buildings all different. A bit of a jewel in the middle of a housing estate.

“living history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

i believe its a snapshot in history it is how villiages used to be. you feel like you are stepping back in time. each house is lived in so it is a real place not empty shells. the gardens are really tended and it is planted by householders not gardeners. a truely wonderful place

“Delightful stop, well worth finding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

John Nash designed this clutch of thatched cottages in 1809. All are currently rented to tenants but one, which is available for short term visitors through the National Trust, which manages the property. There are 8 cottages, each one different, that surround a green. It is an oasis of peace in a residential area of Bristol. If you don't seek it out you will miss it, and what a shame! There are dovecotes in the attics of some of the cottages. Beautiful gardens are everywhere. What a lovely spot!

“Fairy Tale Houses”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

This is a wonderful find in the middle of a one-way system only a stones throw from Blaise Castle. Visit and enjoy but remember these houses are still lived in and not just museum pieces. The children I took with me were transported to "storyland" and imagined they lived in the picturesque little hamlet

“A Fairytale Hamlet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

A set of unique and pretty cottages which are still occupied (visitors are asked to be circumspect please) designed by Beau Nash of Bath Spa fame. A short walk from Blaise Castle and free to see and take photos.
