What a lovely time we as a family had looking around this wonderful historic house, and a special thank you to the ladies that sit in the grand rooms, there knowledge is amazing and it was great to chat to them.
A lot of work go's into keeping the house and gardens pristine and it was a pleasure to see.
Someone needs to take control of the Tea Rooms because not only do you have to wait so long for a cuppa the scones were not that fresh, they do need baking daily. We were going to have a cream tea because they looked fab but the poor lady was snowed under so didn't bother. I don't know if it's more staff or managing the ones that are there better. There was plenty running around not doing much. Very expensive, I don't know where they get there pricing from but in this day and age they need to be more competitive, captive audience springs to mind. Mind you if they got a crowd they would never cope, we wait over twenty mins in the queue.
Didn't spoil the afternoon it was lovely sitting in the sun and the ladies loo's were lovely, so clean.
