Owner description: The climax of a 16 km (10 mile) scenic highway known as the Akamina Parkway, is Cameron Lake. Nestled between the majestic mountain peaks of the Akamina Ridge, this sub-alpine lake is one of many serene bodies of water that makes up Waterton Lakes National Park. Beautiful Cameron lake is a great place to rent a canoe and grizzlies are often seen on the far slopes.

“A Real Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Whilst in Waterton we travelled to Cameron Lake. It was a little windy but very pretty. There is a small store selling post cards, ice cream and some other touristy bits. There are also canoes for hire to paddle round the lake.

“Beautiful”

Beautiful with nice hikes. You probably will see wildlife on the road. There are several waterfalls on the way too.

“Beautiful lake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Very quiet and attractive, far better than Lake Louise which everyone knows. Canoe hire available and toilet facilities. But no refreshments so take your own. Look out for bears on the road

“Accessible for Everyone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Nice lake with a pretty mountain range around it.
This lake is easily accessible for everyone. There is no hike at all to get to the lake. It's just a few steps away from the parking lot. You can do some water activities at this lake too.

“A beautiful walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

The drive to Cameron Lake is beautiful in itself. Once at the lake you can take a walk around part of the lake through forests and multiple water cascades and small waterfalls. Or you can rent a kayak or boat or bring your own to take in the lake from a different vantage point.
