Stopped for a cream tea after several recommendations and all the good reviews were perfectly true.
Generous helping of jam and clotted cream to go along with the ,still warm, scones. A real teapot covered in a cute cosy to keep it warm.
There tea rooms clean and quaint.Food and drinks excellent quality and bargain prices. Soup and a roll £3. Cream tea £3. Cup of tea £1.25. Cake and pastries £1.
Brian the owner, chatty and informative about the B and B and obviously enjoys meeting new people and ensuring their visit is a great experience.
I will be telling all about this great place and I hope the business continues to prosper. It is deserves to flourish .

We have just had a wonderful few days at Bassettwood B & B with some friends over from Italy. Nothing was too much trouble from extra beds for the children to a peach for breakfast for a very healthy 4 year old! We felt very much at home from the moment we arrived and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable relaxing break in the Peak District.

What a lovely farm and guesthouse. Amazing hosts. Lots of farm animals to make friends with. Great tea room. Made to feel very welcome. Will be back here very soon! Stayed in the shepherd's hut which is romantic and cosy.

We've just got back from an afternoon out at Tissington, and a great value, delicious cream tea at this wonderful find off the main tourist route around the village.

Tissington is one of our favourite places to go for a relaxing sunny afternoon and today thought we would follow signs to Bassettwood tea rooms.
We had missed the sign that said 3/4mile from the village, and at one point considered turning back because we couldn't see any sign of buildings.
But we were so glad we continued our explore, and were well rewarded on finding the tea room set around the back of the farm house buildings. There is car parking for those who don't want the walk.

We felt very welcomed, treated to delicious fresh scones and homemade jam, we sat outside, but glanced inside which looked lovely too. Highly recommended, we shall definitely return!

Staying here on our wedding night, everything was perfect from the warm reception in the evening after a long and tiring day, to the great cooked breakfast the following morning.

We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut which was amazing, set away from the main B&B. I note some comments below regarding the toilets which are set back in the main B&B, but it was no real issue for us and a minor inconvenience which was worth it for the overall experience, particularly the view in the morning when you can open up the top hatch of the door out onto the peaks.

Lots of little, personal touches as well to make the stay even more special.

Also do a great cream tea in the afternoon!

Room Tip: Shepherd's hut might be a walk across a field to the toilets but more than worth it for the morn...

I spent one night at Bassettwood with my husband staying Bed & Breakfast. From the first e-mail enquiry to leaving the farm it was lovely. Sarah & Brian have got it just right. The bedroom is gorgeous, with a lovely spacious en suite shower room. The view from the room is stunning over the Peak District. Breakfast was very good as was the much talked about afternoon tea that we had before leaving for home. Thank you to Sarah & Brian for a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

On our holidays last week we decided to walk into Tissington and arriving in this beautiful picturesque village of myself, husband and two children felt a little peckish. We were attracted to Bassettwood Farm after spotting a couple of signs advertising Cream Teas at £2,50 person, so we thought we would give it a try, well we were so glad we did as it was absolutely delightful in every way: the scones were very tasty, definitely home made, served with lovely jam and clotted cream (the amount of cream teas we have had in the past where they serve you with whipped cream is sinful and just wrong!!) I had a large pot of Earl Grey (my choice!, yes you do get a choice of teas!!) and my husband had a very large cafettiere of coffee to himself and my children had two delicious hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Great food, drink and at a fantastic price.

The owner, I believe his name is Brian is very funny and you can tell he enjoys what he does, definitely a people's person. The four tables in the Farm House Dining area were full and we engaged in conversation with all the other Diners and after we had all finished eating our delicious Cream Tea Brian was more than happy to take all of us around the little farm and answer our many questions about the animals he then encouraged us to feed the sheep, pigs, hens, goats and pony, our family and the other cream tea lovers had a thoroughly perfect afternoon and we as a family will definitely go back to visit next time we are in Tissington.

The Farm House is absolutely delightful and the Tea Room/Dining area very Kath Kidston and thoroughly charming. While we were there Brian showed us the Shepherd's hut and this just looked fantastic inside and out, with a little log burner, crisp bedding and decorated to a very high standard giving it a lovely warm, inviting country look. I would love to stay there one day and would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Spoke to guests that were staying in the actual farmhouse and they said that their room was really l...
