Went here for our dinner on Sunday evening 26th Aug, as ever this restuaruant has never yet let me down. Took my parents here for food as they were down for the weekend and also my sons birthday so I took them all out together.... some of the items we ate between us were as follows:
Tempura Prawns with a sweet chilli dip in a large cracker basket, this was a very tasty starter... portion size and taste was great..
Steak with Salad and fries, Fantastic, Ribs with Salad etc, Fantastic, Home made Steak & Kidney pudding served on a bed of mash, my father said was very tasty.. and my mother had some Indian style meal that consisted of a few things on a large plate which she said was very tasty indeed and there were no scraps left anywhere!
desserts... Yum... Chocolate Brownies with icecream... there were 5 2 inch square brownies served in a tower as one portion... they struggled to eat but wasnt going to let it beat them!
Eaton Mess, was served in like a cosmopolitan glass... with icecream at the bottom, this was very very nice indeed..., along with the usual selection of icecreams that were also nice flavours.. and my other half had Hot bread and butter pudding with cold custard ( his choice) and there were certainly no complaints from his side of the table... it worked out for our meal with drinks ( 2 bottles of wine and a couple of beers and some bottled water) approx £40.00 a head. I would definately recommend this place to anyone who is in the area and wants to go for some Good Well Made food...
Our waitress was also very nice and helpful...
