“A very good lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

We went for lunch on a hot day, having had a successful trip to by some en vrac Madiran. I had driven past the restaurant on one previous occasion, but was unable to stop, and so we were looking forward to a return. Reading the reviews of other TripAdvisors, I was a little cautious about taking friends there, but we had a great meal on the terrace. Our food was beautifully prepared, and the wine of good quality and reasonably priced. Why not 5/5? A couple of small-ish niggles: our table was fine, but the chairs were plastic, which we all thought a bit cheap. Secondly, we booked for 1300, and although the service was very good, we felt slightly pressured to finish up and depart at 1430. Overall, we thought it a great lunch, and I would be very happy to return.

“Very disappointing!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Having dined at Le Prieure previously for dinner,( mediocre) thought would like to try for lunch with friends!!.
Sadly a big mistake, food cold, overcooked and very poor vegetables. All in all will be quite a while before we consider visiting again, such as shame as beautiful surroundings.

“A lovely birthday meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

I had a lovely birthday dinner here, sat out on the terrace this summer. The food was good, but the service needs a little attention. We are going again with some friends as its has a nice atmosphere with good food .

“Le Prieure restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Truly wonderful experience. Great and affordable for lunch, more expensive but wider menu in the evening. Beautiful surroundings, lovely garden.

“Le Prieure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

We hgave had a house in the village now some 8 years and eaten in and around the area many times. The Prieure has over this time had a few very good chefs run it.We last ate there in August and as a chef working alongside Albert Roux and his team I was amazed at the complete diference this new team has made. Outstanding new fresh ideas on the menu, what we found even more surprising was that most of the dishes have come away from the local traditional ideas such as foie gras has to be served with apple or the only cheese is brebis not that we dont enjoy these we do But the menu was modern well cooked and presented.A most satisfing evening. Now we have to wait and see if this non traditional way of thinking will be a sucsess I really do hope so.
