“BRILLIANT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

This was another restaurant recommended to us by the locals. Perfectly cooked duck, etc. A great place for authentic cooking. Wonderful fried cheese served with a fantastic tomato chutney. Yes the house wine is great. Another great place for a three hour lunch.

“Authentic Canarian restaurant for meat lovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

This restaurant was recommended to us before we even visited Fuerteventura, so we 'had' to try it. It was a bit of a drive from where we were staying, so we decided to head for it to have a large dinner at lunch time as we were flying home that evening. We arrived at 12:30 as it was just about to open, so had our pick of the tables. Within half an hour the whole restaurant was packed - obviously a very popular place! The décor is rustic, the service is friendly, even when very busy. My wife and I had steaks, which were excellent. My oldest daughter had chicken, which was a large serving, and she really enjoyed it. My youngest daughter is vegetarian, but luckily eats fish as this is not a very vegetarian friendly restaurant. The fish was just ok - obviously not a strength for this restaurant. For desert my wife and I tried the home made fig ice-cream, which was fantastic. If you love meat I would certainly recommend this restaurant!

“Great Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

The finest food with brilliant service. A real must. Don't order the lamb if on a diet. The fillets are perfect as is the duck.

“Canarian food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

If you're looking for an "elegan" restaurant, try somewhere else because El Horno is a bit "country-style", with decorations of the rural life of the area. They are clearly proud of their rural background which I think is really good.
Food is also local, huge, and overall good. I had the battered aubergine with goat cheese and palm honey as appetizer (huge portion), and a grilled chicken breast as maincourse.
