We chose this hotel for a weekend break in Amsterdam and were really happy with the location. There was a frequent shuttle bus service to the airport, from where we visited Keukenhof bulb gardens and caught the train to the city centre - all very easy. It is situated in a quiet business area and we were able to run out and along a canal - you'd hardly know you were close to the airport at all. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was fantastic, such a choice of fresh fruits, cooked and continental and a great orange juice machine for making your own fresh juice - as a non-tea and coffee drinker the juice is always important to me! The room was large and very comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful too.
A few downsides, there was a DJ playing very noisy music until 8pm on the Friday, almost too loud to talk in the bar, but once he'd finished we enjoyed a meal in the restaurant - rather expensive and not enormous portions but good food. After our run on Sunday morning we were surprised and disappointed to find there was no hot water due to a fault - however on booking out they did discount the bar meal we'd had on the Sunday night so we were happy with that.
Be warned that there is a bunfight for the shuttle bus from the airport - the queue is muddled with many others and there are often large numbers of people wanting the same bus as it goes via the parking lot too, be prepared not to be British!!
