Stayed here for business meetings that were happening nearby. Can't speak to how convenient it is (or not) to get into the city - I didn't go. Would assume it would be better to be closer tho.
I was disappointed w the wait to get to the hotel. I passed on two other airport hotels because they were considerably more expensive and now I understand why. The Sheraton is literally connected to the airport. Really convenient. I had to wait for a shuttle for about 30 minutes. Felt like more. It was cold and I was tired after the long flight. I regretted not staying closer.
That said, once I got there it was fine. The trip is short - it's still close to the airport, just not as close as others and not walking distance. Takes about 5-10 minutes by shuttle or taxi.
I paid for an upgrade to a newer room w breakfast Included. It was 35 EUR more. I was too tired to decline the offer but it ends up the room was pretty nice. Upgrade includes free hardwire internet connection which is ridiculous because there is free wifi all over the hotel, which is great, and sufficient. No one uses a hardwire connection anymore, this is not a value add, but they pitch it as being part of the upgrade, which honeslty if more confusing than anything, especially after a red eye. Not a big deal but had to mention.
I only had time for breakfast one day but it was fine. Eggs and a decent spread overall. Staff was attentive. Restaurant and bar were both nice as well but pretty dead, and there is nothing else nearby. I wasn't there for fun so this was fine but by week's end I was bored.
I'd stay there again if I had similar needs (meetings near airport). I'd get the upgrade again. I'd take a taxi right upon arrival instead of waiting for the hotel shuttle (20 EUR or less).
