“great location,excellent bed,great price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

It is a great place to recover from a long flight before taking the next long flight. In fact I look forward for a long layover in Amsterdam, so I am fully rested. Location next to local cafeteria gives good access to multiple cuisine. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and inviting. Standard cabin are small but serves the purpose of resting between flights. Showers are excellent although drainage of water can be an issue as there is spillover into living quarters. Booking a room on the web is real easy. Check in is prompt and so is check out. Good value for money.

Room Tip: Seek a room a decent distance from main entrance.Corridor traffic near main entrance can be disturbi...

We booked because our flight was at 8;30 Am the next morning and wanted a good nights sleep.
But thinhgs just did not work out. First we were not permitted to check our bags and didn't know what to do with them. There were no clear instructions on the sites web page. We left two e-mail messages while standing around at the airport. The first brought a no response, the second had dome information. I then called the hotel phone number. Was on hold for ever and then dropped. Finally found the exact phone st the hotel site and went through two people to try to understand what to do. They said just come through customs and bring the bags. At most airports this would not work (but they said it would work here). In the morning we would have to go out through customs and begin the process all over again. This made us uneasy and we put our two large bags in a storage locker. Once at the site, next to McDonalds's on Level 2 (which should have been a warning) we checked in. The first room to which we were sent was already occupied. The second room was ok. Once in the room -- glass walls for the toilet, no privacy whatsoever. The bed was on a roller system and came out flat to fill most of the room space. But at least we could sleep. When we checked in we were not told when we had to leave, but as I had become quite ill with a cold we had decided in the middle of the night to stay a couple of days until I had improvd. But at 9 am there cme a nock on the door -- get out or pay for an extra night. All in all an unpleasant experience..

Room Tip: Avoid this option!!!!!

Very affordable hotel at a very nice location. It's great if you don't have plans of going out of the airport after check in since you will pass the immigration already. But if you have multiple entry in your visa, no problem. Very clean cabins and you can really rest since cabins are really soundproof.

had a long 7 hr layover.... so we decided to take a hot shower in the yotel and rest up. the room is small as expected, but has EVERYTHING you need. clean, comfy, and fully furnished. free wifi. hair dryer on request. at the time, they had an online deal where there was a discount if you were paying with Paypal. we just talked to the mgr and he was glad to give us that deal even though we didn't book online.

one word, excellent!

I stayed here with my wife and 9 month old kid during a 6 hour layover when coming home from Japan.

We stayed in a premium room (bigger bed) for 4 hours before moving on to the next flight. The room was very small with just about 50cm of floor space on each side of the bed and with a small toilet with shower. But this was not a problem since we just needed a place to sleep for a couple of hours.

Pros:
- You can rent the room in 4 hour intervals, so great when you just need to stay for a coulpe of hours.
- Very central. Just next to the food court on the second floor in the Intercontinental (outside EU) part of the airport.

Cons:
- A bit expensive
- You most likely need to make a reservation in advance to be able to get a room
- The wall to the toilet/shower is a glass wall so if you're staying with someone else you can't have complete privacy when taking a shower or going to the bathroom. The bottom part of the glass is frosted and there is a curtain on the top part so it covers the wall a bit. But the curtain doesn't go all the way down to the frosted part so there is a gap of 20 cm where you can see trough. This gap is placed at face height if you are sitting on the toilet and at crotch height if you are standing and are about 180 cm tall.

Be aware that this hotel is inside the intercontinental part of the airport (inside the passport checks). So if you're coming to Amsterdam from outside EU you must not stay within the passport check or you will be unable to get to the hotel. If you're flying out of amsterdam you need to go through the passport check to get to the hotel. If you're flying within EU I doubt you can get access to the hotel, but maybe there isn't much need for the hotel in that case.

Ideal for when you are connecting through schipol as you can book by the hours you need.
The cabins are comfortable, TV, Shower and WC and were quite airy and not too claustrophobic as I had imagined them to be.
Check in was quite slow however, the accommodation absolutely fine.
It is situated near D pier so convenient to get to security or transit areas

We had a 8 hours wait before our long flight back to Singapore. We need the rest so we booked Yotel since we are with a 1 year old. It was a little confusing on finding the hotel as it is located inside the airport. You need to 'check-in' into the area. We got lost as well when we checked out of the hotel. Apparently we have to get out of the area in order to check in for our flight. Overall it was an awesome experience. The airport staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was just ok for the 3 of us since we just needed the bed and wash up. It was NOT as small as we imagined it to be. The retractable bed is a smart and cute idea! We love it! The room was comfortable and clean and amazingly quiet surrounding.

We would choose to stay with Yotel in future!
