“Great hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2010

I could not thank the owners more for their hospitality during my stay at the Scotland Lodge. After arriving late on the back of a tow truck due to a blown out tyre they could not have been more helpful providing me with the help i needed to get back on the road. Lovely room, lovely breakfast and the wonderful owners.

We stayed here before and after doing the Avebury to Stonehenge walk and were too tired to go out for food. The owner couldn't have been more helpful in organising a take away for us!! Plus they helped out with getting the car back on the road the next day. A really lovely house and a really really lovely welcome.

A well run establishment, with some nice facilities.
Well placed if you're looking to visit Stonehenge or any of the other English Heritage sites in the area.

Scotland Lodge is very close to Stonehenge and Salisbury. It is a very cosy B&B with clean rooms and comfortable amenities (tea & coffee, common room pool table, linen and towels etc.). The owners are friendly and serve a great breakfast in the morning. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Firstly, I would have to say it is not that easy to find for the first time. Having said that, the room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. The country side, the gardens and the birds certainly make this a treat. The traffic noise (for most of the night) is really it's only negative.
The English breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it.
It is a bit out of the way as far as towns are concerned and you do need to get in the car to go out for a meal at (say) Salisbury) which is some way away.
