We did the shortish hike around Karst Spring on our exploration of Northern Manitoba, it is absolutely beautiful there, and the changes of landscape on the hike is amazing. Everyone really enjoyed it. It is not a difficult hike, but I wouldn't bring a toddler on it. The spring was neat. I'm sure there is lots of wildlife around although we didn't see any. There were bear droppings along the last part of the hike, but we aren't the quietest, so probably scared everything off.
The lake there seems nice, and there is a decent boat launch there. If I was younger, and in better shape, I would canoe the grass River systm. The scenery there is so beautiful. The wild lowers, trees, moss, everything just seems magical. I loved it there. A park pass is required there.
