“Best Value on the Island | Beats any B & B Hands Down”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

We booked for 4 days and immediately upon arrival extended our stay here to a full week, knowing that the last 3 days would be solid rain. Why here?
It feels like you've rented a fairly new, functional condo rather than a motel suite.
* Spacious, immaculate living room/kitchenette + bedroom with king size bed & firm mattress + newly renovated bathroom with a LARGE bathtub and shower.
* Large, flat-screen TV with satellite + fast internet connection (great for rainy days).
* Quiet and private, with nice view of the marina.
* Walking distance to everything urban (and rural) in Ucluelet, including the Wild Pacific Trail.
* Ten minute drive to Pacific Rim National Park entrance.
* We can cook our seafood....which we buy across the street! There's a stove/oven and a large barbecue on the balcony. Yes, a balcony!
* The owner is friendly and accommodating.
* The price we paid for all this was the same or less than we paid for just a bedroom in B & Bs and in a fishing lodge that we stayed in on other parts of the Island... and in contrast to many B & Bs, you're not expected to leave during the day, which can be difficult in rainy weather.

I'm writing this review as the rain continues outside, while warm and dry I anticipate searing fresh West Coast scallops and Albacore tuna for dinner. Could you ask for more?

Room Tip: Book early. 2nd floor, facing marina. By the way, they close at the end of September and open in Mar...

It was really a perfect stay. We are a young German couple with a baby and first thing was that the owner had organized a high chair before our arrival - very family friendly. The rooms are of excellent quality, everything is new, modern, beautiful furniture and good kitchen equipment with a barbecue on the balcony. Calm atmosphere. From our own balcony, we could see the harbour, the Sea and wildlife on the opposite shore - great! The owner is very frieindly and pofessional, very close to the guests and the service is really excellent. We stayed there for seven days in september 2013 and can highly recommend it to everybody, we were always very happy returning here after a long day.

Room Tip: Rooms with balcony to the shore are excellent

We booked on the spur of the moment and it was an excellent choice. Peaceful and quiet place. The room was well-appointed (including a microwave), modern and clean, with a large ensuite bathroom and an outdoor deck. The owner was helpful and friendly. We had a view over the harbour entrance and saw plenty of sea eagles.

Stayed here in Aug 2013. Right next to the marina. Kids fished out front and caught sea stars and minnows. The rooms was decorated like a modern condo. Tasteful decor and impeccably clean. We had deck with a waterfront view. This is where we BBQ'd most meals and cooked our fish we had caught. Full size coffee maker in the room and coffee, sugar, cream were all supplied. We did however bring our own as we like a lot of coffee. A short walking distance with the kids to the aquarium, a bit of a hike to the grocery store. Since we moored our boat in the marina, we had access to laundry right across the parking lot. Commercial fishing vessels are close by so you may experience engines firing up in the early morning hours. This never woke my kids, and I fell back asleep soon after. We enjoyed the trails around town. The managers were awesome and personable.

Room Tip: The rooms with the bedrooms are large and you can choose to have two twin beds or have them made int...

The Bayshore Waterfront Inn is a motel, but the rooms are surprisingly large, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Beds were great, large walk-in closet, and huge walk-in shower even in their standard room. Customer service was fantastic, very friendly. Location was also great, nice view of the marina and convenient to "downtown" Ucluelet. Floathouse restaurant on the other side of the parking lot is worthwhile. A little bit noisy early in the morning because of fishing groups departing early.

We booked into this place unsure of what we were getting or what to expect - but we were so chuffed we stayed here! Ucluelet is a amazing place, a must do if you're on Vancouver Island, and you must also stay here! The rooms are big, with views across a harbour and a walk around a lake behind the Inn, you can also wander across to the fish weighing station to see the days catches. Our room had a large shower and smart bathroom, two double beds and a microwave, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and a parking space out front. We ended up taking a long walk in the Pacific National Park, stopping off at the local grocer store and liquor store, and having a really cosy night in our room as the fog descended. Would definitely recommend staying here - we will be back without a doubt! And the warm and welcoming owner is an added bonus!

We booked our stay with the Bayshore with another couple to take advantage of the excellent fishing in Ucluelet. I can't say enough about Teo and her staff at the Bayshore! She was very accommodating, giving us a tour of the Inn and the various rooms available and we chose to upgrade to the "honeymoon suite" with a stunning view of the outer harbor.
Everything was first class, not at all what we would expect on our first adventure with Salmon fishing. The 4-poster bed was so comfortable it was hard to leave it in the mornings for the boat.
Newly renovated, fabulous bathrooms with 4 foot glass showers, marble counters and a large deck to relax on after a day of fishing - we have already booked the room for next year!
The only thing you might want to remember when booking this place is that it is a fishing village, and being right on the water, you will hear the fisherman and their boats as early as 4:30am. But it really isn't that bad as everyone tends to be as quiet as they can so they can get the jump on the later risers and catch the big ones :)
