“Point Lighthouse Trail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

This is worth waiting until the mist clears, the views are spectacular. A short walk with lots of seating areas around the trail and we saw a grey whale from the trail.

“Nice view.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

All in all, a nice view, but the lighthouse is automated so you can't go in it and see anything. The shores around the lighthouse are basically treacherous rocks so not really good for anything else than enjoying the view. But, it's a great view! Takes about 35 minutes to get to the lighthouse on the walking trail

“Shipwreck Islands”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

Found at the start of the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet. You can't actually go into the lighthouse but the crashng of thr waves against the rocks is a spectacular sight.

“Great Views and a short walk.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

This trail is a must-do. There are numerous look-outs, so even if the trail is busy you can probably find one to enjoy fairly privately. The lighthouse is probably not the highlight, although some interesting information is provided about it. The lookouts are amazing as you make your way around the trail, and many interesting trees have formed along the trail as well. You can read the signs about all of the ship-wrecks along the coast and even make your way down the rocks at some points to get close to the waves crashing in. Makes for a beautiful sunset. Worth the drive if you are staying nearby in Tofino.

“Nice walk great views”

Saw four bald eagles (one even hunting!) on our way to the lighthouse. Nicely paved trail. Easy with kids.
