OK - this is not a romantic setting. The hotel is old (but has been reno-ed). There is a sink and refrigerator in the room, as well as coffee maker. Our room's view was the parking lot and restaurant. I used to stay here years ago when my kids and I were surfers and arrived grungy from the beach. It has gotten older since then (and so have I).
The good parts: It is INEXPENSIVE and might just be the last place available to stay in Uclulet if you haven't planned ahead. If so, be assured that the door locks, the bathroom was clean, and the refrig froze everything we put in it (turn it down). We spent the day at the beach, ate out and fell into the good enough beds. I didn't feel bad that we might have tracked in some sand in our shoes. It's that kind of place. The TV did what TVs do. Given the price, I didn't mind the downside at all. Also the restaurant buffet featured fresh crab. Also for a very reasonable price. (One might note that a lot of locals eat there.)
The owners are nice and one can get ice in the restaurant to take to the room.
