My first halibut was 57 pounds and I was permanently hooked of the Canadian Princess Resort. It is the best value for the money anywhere. In 2003 I caught a 90 pound halibut on 30 pound test line and barbless hooks(salmon jig). I have always come away with the feeling that I got more than my money's worth of entertainment, This year I am introducing 3 new customers to this resort. I signed us up for a 2 day trip and am looking forward to fishing on August 27lth and 28th with 11 hours of fishing on day 1 and 7 hours on day 2. If you have never seen the Wikininish Lodge at long Beach that is a free side trip for customers to go see if they have an evening free. The lodge has excellent foor for the discriminating customer. My picture with my 90 pound halibut was featured on the front page of the "Salmon News" in 2003 or 2004. I lost my copy of that issue and would like to get another one.
i highly reccomend the shore units which are far more comfortable than the ship cabins. The air conditioning is really appreciated when it is so hot. Bring you camera for some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see from a charter boat.
