“Karma Cabin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

What can we say. We stayed here for 3 nights on our 25th Anniversary trip. Ucluelet is the nicest little town. This is a little piece of paradise. Being woken up in the morning by the waves lapping at the shore and a bald eagle "talking" to its mate. It can't get any better than this. The cabins are so clean, with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. They think of everything, even dish detergent. Short drive to grocery store and a place to get delicious coffee. You can sit on your private balcony for hours looking out onto the Pacific Ocean. So peaceful and quiet. Really didn't want to leave. Hope to return.

My now husband and i live in Guelph, Ontario and for 3 years in a row, we have had the pleasure of taking a mini vacation to Ucluelet, BC.
The drive on the Pacific Highway to Ucluelet has always been absolutely spectacular, from the winding roads, to the mountain lakes. We stopped at Cathedral Grove where I saw 800 year old trees that you will never see anywhere else.
One minute your driving through rain, then fog, and within minutes it's beautiful sunny skies.
My husband proposed 2 years ago and with all the problems we faced it wasn't until he took me to Ucluelet/Tofino for some R&R that we realized this was the place we wanted to get married. We fell in love with the island and the warm friendly people. Our Wedding planner suggested The Cabins at Terrace Beach and it was LOVE at first site. We were greeted by Jade who welcomed us as if we knew each other forever. She gave us the Key to "The Nest" and as we walked the private trail to our cabin we turned the key and walked into our private oasis! The view of Terrace beach was priceless, standing on our balcony we were surrounded by tall trees and green all around. The cabins has all the amenities your looking for from dishwasher to washer and dryer. A perfect romantic getaway where your one with nature. The roaring fireplace at night while sipping wine and listening to the seals barking away is something you only read in romantic novels.
Downstairs in the bedroom you open your windows and fall asleep to the smell the damp earth combined with old fallen trees while the sound of the crashing waves put you to sleep.
In the morning you shower while looking up at the skylight and see your surrounded by nature.
I recommend anyone that wants total Relaxation to stay at The Cabins at Terrace beach. You cannot find a better getaway place than here.
We came back again in November 2013 and planned our wedding from Ucluelet. We stayed at our Fav spot "the Nest" and with Jade's helpful hard work we organized and arranged our wedding for May2013. Of course we couldn't come as often to Ucluelet as I would have loved to but Jade made things so much easy and smooth. She was always prompt with her emails/phone calls, as our guests said she was "sweet and very professional and made the bookings stress free"
We came 1 week before the wedding and I have to say Jade and Gary went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our wedding day magical. They were busy getting the rooms ready for our guests and In between they reached out and gave us a helping hand.
May 25th 2013 my Husband Steve and I got married on a sunny warm day at Terrace beach. Early in the morning before the wedding chaos began I got a knock on my door and it was Jade standing there with a few items for me. She asked how I was feeling and gave me something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. She gave me her little secret on how she got her nerves settled on her wedding day and I took her advise and did the same.
Steve and I cannot express how much we love Jade and the crew at The Cabins, we were welcomed day 1 like family and we will always consider them to be our third family out on the Island.
Next year May 25th 2014 on our anniversary we will be coming back to share our love for each other.
The Cabins at Terrace Beach will forever be our future spot whether its for vacationing with our future kids or celebrating our anniversary every year.

Thanks to Everyone at The Cabins for making our stays and Wedding day Memorable!!!!

We stayed in The Lodge. It seems to be the only place with a view in this complex, except for a little cabin called The Nest. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a fridge and a large coffee pot- way better than the little ones you usually get. It also had a kettle so we could make tea. There are no kitchens in The Lodge.

Room Tip: The Lodge has the views, be sure to ask for a room with a view as some rooms are better than others.

We traveled from Surrey BC One sunny Friday to attend a wedding at this wonderful Resort. Friendly staff greeted us and through the weekend always had a smile and a greeting. The scenery is unbelievable.Ron the manager proved to be invaluable,as we had left something behind and he assured us he would get it back to us somehow. He went to great lengths to find out if someone from our party was still there to bring it home to us. Something you don't get from most chain hotels Many thanks to the cabins for a wonderful weekend we will remember for a long time. We would like to return with our dog so she can enjoy the experience of the trails and the ocean(shes a lab) The property is varied and many different accommodations are available. We enjoyed the Lighthouse Loop on the The Wild Pacific Trail (where we actually saw Whales) and just enjoying the time away with good friends.

Room Tip: Talk to the staff about the room options

The Cabins at Terrace Beach, Ucluelet - just can’t say enough about how special this place is. After the pleasant 3-4 hour drive across Vancouver Island, filled with stunning views of mountain lakes and snow-capped peaks, the coast awaits; no better place to enjoy it than The Cabins at Terrace Beach in Ucluelet. From the warm reception by Krista, my son and I were given the keys to Cabin #1, and it felt like the keys to paradise. We were enjoying time together after he had completed his first year at UVic and on the spur of the moment decided to return to one of our favorite places, Ucluelet. This was my 4th time to the Island’s west coast, but the first time to The Cabins and we were in for a treat! Our cabin was tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable. We toured the beautiful “Lodge” on the property and thought it would be a tranquil place for groups or retreats with the dramatic stone fireplace in the great room and picture windows overlooking the ocean. From the dining room deck you can hear the waves gently lapping at the shore.
Wonderful location and kind, caring people who really get what this very special place is all about. Love their motto, "Check in and Chill out!" They truly get it!

When we arrived Krista was assisting a guest with sightseeing ideas, and a honeymoon couple arrived to check in just as we did. With a warm smile Krista greeted us and the newlyweds. We were in no hurry, happy to browse around the check-in lodge, so she offered the newlyweds their keys and said their cabin was ready, no need to wait, they could officially check in anytime later. This set the tone for the warmth and hospitality that makes The Cabins so special. Krista, Jade, & Ron will do everything possible to make your time there enjoyable. Our two-bedroom cabin was clean, well stocked, and steps from the beach. While we didn’t have a beachfront cabin, those are available, all cabins are within a quick walk to the beach and steps to the trailhead for the Lighthouse Loop of the Wild Pacific Trail. It was so nice to walk out our door and not have to drive to get to the trail or the beach. It would be so easy to call this cabin home! It was so hard to leave!

During our time there we hiked the Wild Pacific Trail, taking in captivating views of the ocean, crashing on the rocks at every turn. We enjoyed the beautiful west coast sunset each evening at the best place to see it, just steps from our cabin door, at Terrace Beach. Beautiful spot. Also, lots of great food; we hit the co-op and stocked up, so nice to have the fully-equipped kitchen at the cabin, but also enjoyed dinner at Norwoods, Delicious oysters, scallops and octopus! Ron and the team at The Cabins have lots of recommendations for whatever you may be looking for and they won’t steer you wrong. We truly enjoyed the West Coast and the wild beauty of the ocean, the crashing waves, the windswept artistry of the forests on the trail, then back to The Cabins where we felt so cozy, secluded in the cabin in the forest by the beach.
The Cabins embody the culture of the Wild Pacific, pure rugged beauty and peacefulness. A wonderful place to call home while enjoying the beauty of the ocean, ancient forests, and the night sky. Such a peaceful, ruggedly beautiful spot. When you leave a piece of this paradise will live in your heart. Can’t wait to go back.

We just got back from a weekend away in Ucluelet, and just love the Cabins! With very friendly staff, the Cabins are so cozy and comfy. Amazing location so close to the beach & dog friendly, perfect for great doggie walks down to Terrace Beach. Our cabin had tons of extras: full kitchen, coffee, TV, laundry, extra blankets, comfy beds and everything you need to cook a delicious crab dinner! It was so peaceful and quiet, you can hear the waves crashing close by. We would definitely recommend the Cabins and can't wait to come back soon.
