Maison Laurent is a rare find; Anthony and Rachel are gracious hosts who make one feel perfectly at home. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated, and the food is fabulous. We can't wait for our next visit!

Such a perfectly lovely place to stay -
Beautifully furnished rooms - very clean and bright. High thread count bedding.
Rachel and Anthony are such warm and friendly hosts.
Highlight - having supper with the other guests (cooked by Anthony)!!
A truly memorable weekend :)

Maison Laurent was an excellent find. We stayed there for a week in September and have raved about it to everyone since. Anthony and Rachel are superb hosts; their cooking is exquisite and their knowledge & recommendations of what to visit in the area ensured we had a great stay. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay; they thoroughly deserve the high ratings and great reviews.
It is a beautiful house in a quiet village. We stayed in two rooms during our stay, both well furnished and with their individual charms. The garden offers a great place to relax, with a swimming pool and honesty bar as well.
Dining there is a must; Anthony cooked some great meals during our stay which was accompanied by some fantastic wines. Dining together at breakfast (which is big enough to see you through till dinner!) and in the evening allows you to meet some of the other guests staying there which is good to find out where they would recommend visiting. There are also some very nice places to eat not too far from Maison Laurent; we would recommend visiting the Tavern 50m down the road, who serve 'very generous' portions all cooked on an open fire within the restaurant.
We would highly recommend Maison Laurent for a couple’s getaway, either for a short visit if passing through the region or for a week’s vacation. We will definitely return in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Maison Laurent. We stayed for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed each day. Rachel and Anthony were wonderful hosts and gave us some excellent suggestions about activities to do in the region. The two dinners we had there were also delicious. Overall a great stay!

We stayed at the Maison Laurent for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. Rachel and Anthony, and Bella, have created a perfect spot, in one of the most wonderful areas of France. Their graciousness and hospitality are endless and by the time we left we felt we'd made friends for life. Anthony prepared to dinners for us during our stay which were exeptional. We highly recommend the Maison Laurent to anyone visiting the Aude.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are wonderful.

I found Maison Laurent on TripAdvisor and was keen to stay here based on the consistently great reviews. My husband and I based ourselves here for 3 days in late September to explore the Languedoc. We're so glad we did.

Everything about Maison Laurent is warm, welcoming and thoughtful, from Anthony, Rachel and their friendly dog Bella, to the house, the beautiful garden and swimming pool, the honesty bar, the well furnished and thoughtfully laid out rooms, and the breakfasts and dinners.

It's wonderful for a 3 day stay, but you could also stay here for 1-2 weeks, exploring the sights on some days and taking it easy by the pool, in your room or in the beautiful and spacious living room on other days.

A few suggestions based on highlights from our stay -

1) Ask Anthony for recommendations on sights to see in the Languedoc as he knows the area well and it's a large area with so much to see. If you give him a sense of what you're interested in (whether it's visiting towns, gorges, restaurants, where to buy wine) he'll not only suggest great places but also the best way to get there and what to visit on the way. We went to some great places that we wouldn't otherwise have because of his recommendations (e.g., Minerve).

2) Eat dinner at Maison Laurent if you can. The food's fantastic, you get to try some great wines at very reasonable prices, and you get to meet other guests and exchange notes about where they've been in the area. Like everything at Maison Laurent, dinner is relaxed, generous and in good taste.

3) Give yourself an extra day to spend at Maison Laurent if you go in summer. The swimming pool and garden are just lovely. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to do this, but I'd certainly give myself a day to just lounge around if I could do it again.

A beautiful home with warm and welcoming hosts. Perfectly located in the Languedoc. Luxury at affordable prices. Book your stay here, you won't regret it!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 4 which is beautiful and spacious. However, the windows face a church whose bells...

Dear Rachel and Anthony :-)

Our experience at Maison Laurent was the best experience ever...!!!
We stayed 14 days in September and enjoyed EVERY SINGLE DAY under your roof! You both stretched and went far beyond what we could possibly have expected from a hostess and host. You really know how to make your guests comfortable and enjoy the sights in the Langedoc region. You do this by pouring out GOOD information and coming up with suggestions based on your extensive knowledge of the region.
You are like two good friends and you act like that as well. This creates an extremely good atmosphere and this atmosphere makes it so easy to get to know the other guests that are staying there! You two are special people Rachel and Anthony !

The cooking deserves a special mention... You, Anthony, could have been a chef at any exclusive restaurant, if you had wanted...! Your dinners were exquisite, delicious, extremely tasteful, inventive and made from the bottom and up with lots of passion and enthusiasm ! :-)
Rachel, your desserts were excellent and extremely tasteful... :-)

The room (#5) was great! A huge perfect bed in a beautiful combined living/bed room, two "walking closets" form her and him, a huge nice and clean bathroom with a big tub.
PS! Be aware that there is no drinking or eating allowed in the rooms.

At dinner you can bring along your own bottle(s) of wine if you pay an 8 Euro corktax pr. bottle.
The wines that you can buy for dinner or just sitting outside or inside drinking and relaxing were not expensive at all.

Their dog Bella was the most adoring and loving family member of the three. She became everybody's pet and always met us with a wagging tail and a "buff" every morning or evening when we returned from an excursion. Always looking for an extended cuddle and a kind word or two. PS! She is MULTI LINGUAL ;-)

If you want a great experience, Maison Laurent is it!
We'll be back for a new visit as soon as we have the opportunity :-)

Thank you Rachel and Anthony!!! :-)

Room Tip: Room # 5 is on the top and facing the garden. It's also facing away from the church so you hav...
