“Best Pizza but Not a Pizza Joint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Voted Pemberton`s Best Pizza but Not a Pizza Joint, but they make a great Pizza. Try the Treaty Pie with Salmon & Pepper Corns. Great place to sit Outside in Summer too. It has a real Hitching Post to like the Gateway Building. People really ride up for coffee or meal & tie up their Horses.1 block from the Old Hotel, 3 & equivalent of 8 blocks from the 2 new hotels. Sometimes there is a long wait of an hour or more between ordering & meal service. Don`t go if your starving & can`t wait, or snack 1st.

“RIP Pony Expresso”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

It was soo good. Good service, good beer and good food. Until this week.
We went there on Dec 27th, I ordered the pasta special, it was good but very small portion. The burgers my husband usually ordered was drier and had less fixings then the last time he ordered in when we were here last July.
The fries were also overcooked. Oh well, once is ok.

We were back again Dec 29th. We got there at 5:00 and ordered. We said we were waiting for friends but to not hold up our order on their behalf, They got there at 5:30. They were served at 6:15. We were still waiting.

Oh the kitchen screwed up... ok so ... where is our food? its coming.

Then when my pizza arrived it was the wrong one, so I could have it free off charge or wait for the one I ordered for 45 minutes.

WE ORDERED AT 5:00! It was now 6:15! and this is the best you can do? \

sorry Pony, you're reverted to your sorry service self. If you don't want our business, I can do that for you!

Later.

“Always good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Always good at the Pony. Enjoyed a brie BLT last week. Known orginally as the local hang-out, there are now some other good cafes in Pemberton...like One Mile Cafe. Presumably the competition has just raised everyone's game. I also think I saw the Pony logo at Sturdy's Farm just north of Pemberton on the highway. Between the fresh baked goods and their coffee - it is a must stop when in town.

“yummy place for dinner after a hike!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This was a random stop after hiking at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park, and what a great find! The Cow Tipper pizza was soooooo delicious, and service, and atmosphere were excellent! We'll be back for sure. If you ever find yourself in Pemberton around meal time, this is the place to go! Price wasn't bad either :) we also got a salad to share, yum!

“Surprised with local food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

This is a little gem which we found by accident as we traveled north. Just off the highway, turn left into the town and find it in town.
The menu looks pretty ordinary, but do not be fooled. Each ingredient is sourced locally. Then the chefs make it themselves. That includes the wonderful thick slices of bread, home made butter and jam, fresh pasta and salad. Great views outside of the mountains. I will definitely visit again when I am going North on Highway 99.
