“West Van at it's best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2012

The seawall is a beautiful part of West Van, I like to go when the salmon are going up the Capilano River to spawn, the sight is always amazing. The sewall passe thru most of lower West Van Park Royal and on.

“Cold and bracing in November but very enjoyable walk with great scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2012

We walked along the Seawall Promenade around lovely Stanley Park in November on a cold but bright day. It was cold but the sky was bright blue and the sun even came out so we wrapped up warm and spent a couple of hours walking and taking in the views down to Lion's Gate Bridge, back to Downtown and watching the water, the boats and the birds.
Surprisingly, although it was cold there were plenty of others walking, running and even a few rollerbladers.

This must be one of the best downtown walks in any big city with such amazing views with the Vancouver skyline on one side, the gorgeous trees in Stanley Park and the mountains and the water in the background. There are lots of sights to see along the way and great spots to stop and enjoy the views and take photos. In the summer, this must be such a nice walk though I imagine it will get busy but I look forward to returning then to do it again in the sunshine.

“Make sure you're looking for WEST Vancouver. Not Vancouver.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2012

Many reviews below actually reference the main seawall in Vancouver. The West Vancouver seawall does not allow biking or rollerblades. It has great views of Stanley Park and English Bay. The eastern portion has an off-leash area and beach for Fido and then the bulk of it takes you along the West Vancouver shore. Beautiful at sunset, during the salmon runs you'll see fishermen in their hipwaders trying their luck off-shore. There are two playgrounds next to it for the kids. It can be difficult to find a place to park in the summer, but it can provide a quieter urban experience than the main seawall in the city.

“Easy way to exercise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

Well paved promenade with lots to see along the water, pay parking. Not good for beginning rollerbladers as it can be bumpy in spots and some small hills problematic if you can't stop well.
