Today our whole family(5) ages 47-12 biked a (new to us) section of the W & OD. Parked in Leesburg @ mile post 33.5 and had direct access to the path. On this out and back trip we enjoyed slightly rolling hills and a lot of this stretch was in a beautiful canopy of green, after about mile post 37 or so. Great time for all, we saw wildlife from deer to vultures to horses and housecats. Load up with sunscreen and water before you head out. Pack a clean t-shirt for afterward and head to Lightfoot Restaurant (11 N. King) for lunch afterward-you wont be dissapointed.
We have also found the section from Mile post 24-30 easy to access (parking right off Sulley Rd, Rt 28) and enjoyable for the whole family.
