“Historical Place with Natural beauty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

Bahu Fort is one of the important landmark in JAMMU city. It is a fort of King of J&K with very old temple inside. The fort has a beautiful garden adjacent to it which is maintained by JDA. The location provides a wonderful view of Tawi river and jammu city. It is better to approach the site from bypass road for travellers going to Mata Vaidhno Devi temple. Good Indian fastfood available nearby. The garden also has a huge aquarium for kids n young.

“Bahu Fort - Lone attraction”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

I went there on 29 2013. Nice place to see, Lot of Temples into that. Its a myth that 32 Million Hindu God and Goddess blessings are there. The fort is not a kind of Rajasthani / English kind fort. It is kind of different. Half of the fort was closed and the temple part is open for everyone. I would like to tell you the market on the way to Bahu fort I find it interesting. I had a "Mithi Pan" there. Very nice to have that.

“A family place ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Its a place where you can find a beautiful aquarium for the kids. Do not carry eatables for monkeys. If fond of local delicacies plan for some next to it. Carry clean water for self. Parking is a prob. Correct time is evening

“A shrine inside a fort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

It atmosphere resembles like Kalighat in kolkata.
The fort entrance takes you straight to the mali maa mandir with guidance of railing to avoid crowd. It is built of marbel all through. Being so old it looks well maintained and very newly constructed.

Be aware of monkeys.

The prasad distributed besides the annapurna mandir is too good and must have.
They serve puri chana and kara prasad as bhog.

You can offer your puja to bawe wali mata.

It is spacious and cool.

The Aquarium has good collection but do not expect more. They demand to be the biggest underground aquarium in India but not sure on this. If power cut you may have to wait until the power comes so that you can have the full view.

The bagh e bahu garden adjucent is moreoff like vridaban garden with musical fountains large garden view etc.
