“A gem in the New Forrest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Selwyn and Glynda make you feel at home from the minute you arrive. A fabulous nights sleep in a huge comfy bed. Very clean and nicely decorated, the en suite was well equipped with lots of towels and toiletries. Fresh milk for the tea and coffee in our room, what a luxury, other hotels should take note! Little touches such as chocolates and fruit in our room were so thoughtful. Breakfast was as perfect as can be, the homemade jams and marmalade were a lovely touch. We have bookmarked this place to visit again and have already recommended it to friends as the perfect place to stay whilst visiting the New Forrest. I was sorry we could only stay for one night but we will be going back for a longer stay sometime.

If you visit the Chewton farm Road B&B at 20 Chewton Farm Road Walkford Christchurch, Dorset BH23 5QN‎ - you will not be disappointed - the hosts are always there for you and full of suggestions for places to visit and where to eat. The accommodation is great and the food is excellent. In other words you can't go wrong. Spent a long weekend with them and hope to go back in the near future as there is so much to see in the area.

Would recommend it to anyone... give it a try.

We recently spent time enjoying the warm hospitality of Selwyn & Glynda Morrison's spacious and delightful friendly home.
The spacious double room with a huge bed allowed us to relax and sleep soundly overlooking the beautiful garden below whilst providing more than ample wardrobe space plus other extras thus ensuring our stay was rather special.
Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to perfection, we were spoilt for choice of dishes.
Their knowledge of the area is extensive and includes several Pubs & Restaurants within a short distance, offering lunch & evening meals to suit most pockets.
We will without doubt return to stay - as we enjoyed their company enormously, they are truly a delightful couple. Jennie & Alan Arnold

Room Tip: Which ever room you select I am sure your stay will be most enjoyable and very comfortable.

I am a long-term guest here(I come here on Business), and would highly recommend this b & b. Glynda and Selwyn are very hospitable, and ensure that I feel comforatble during my stay here. The rooms are light and airy, the bed is cozy and food great. They make arrangements for any special dietary requirements(I sway between low fat diet to full-vegetarian breakfast). The house itself is warm and welcoming, very clean and well maintained - it is indeed quite inviting. The interiors are unique, with China that are antique and not so common. Glynda mentioned they were handed over to her from her great-grandmother and she takes great efforts to maintain their shine and lustre!

I usually opt for the double bedroom, the shower works well, and the room is quite big with enough storage and good views to the garden.

The beach is walking distane and new forest is close too.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing good night's sleep and great food.

On several occasions I have stayed in this lovely B&B situated close to one of the loveliest beaches on the south coast. Glynda & Selwyn always go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and at home. The breakfast is to die for (especially the sausages, which I was told on my last visit are locally sourced 'wild boar sausages'). The B&B is situated on a quiet side street and waking up to the peace that surrounds this lively B&B with the birds chirpying in the morning is just wonderful. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone - old, young, families - as the B&B is superb and there are lots of things to explore and do while you're in the area.

Glynda and Selwyn welcomed us with tea in their beautiful garden. They were very attentive and helped in every way to make our stay comfortable.
The breakfast was delicious and a lovely selection of fruits, cereals, cooked local produce and croissants were offered.
The bedrooms are immaculately clean & comfortable with flat screen TV, radio/ipod player, drinks and fresh fruit and flowers
Highly recommended!

A lovely B&B, owned/managed by a very welcoming couple. The twin room was lovely: clean, with a very comfortable bed, good selection of teas, lovely china cups, and a good-sized bathroom. (Showering required crouching in the bath, but if you prefer to bath this won't bother you.) I came back from a night out to find cold milk for tea left outside the door in a thermos - a thoughtful touch. Very wide choice for breakfast, and mostly (except sausages) excellent. While I didn't use these myself, I noticed the owners had a range of local guide books, and I heard them discussing with one couple good places to go and routes etc.
