“Wonderful hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

This was one of our favourite places to stay over an amazing 3 week holiday in Canada.
The location was idyllic and the Cedar wood ranch was rustic but with all the amenities laid on.
The room we stayed in (The Rustic Room) was enormous with a huge comfortable bed; large en-suite and a varanda with wonderful views over the countryside.

The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel like we were in our own home. We also enjoyed 2 wonderful home cooked evening meals around a communal table with other guests.

Could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend to friend and family.

Our 2 night stay here was lovely; the rooms are very large, beds comfortable and we were given a warm welcome by Will. We really enjoyed sharing breakfasts and one dinner around the large table with the other guests. Wells Gray Provincial Park is very beautiful and much quieter than some of the better-known parts of the Rockies.

Probably our favourite place that we stayed in during our 2 weeks in Canada. Our hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The ranch was built by the family recently and gave a perfect mix of quintessential 'rustic, log cabin' style but with the modern comforts of spacious rooms, very comfortable beds and even a hot tub!
The breakfasts and evening meals were delicious and as Clearwater itself is 30km away the evening meals were particularly welcome. It's a great location for easily exploring Wells Gray Park.

All I can say is what a beautiful place to stay. This was a stand out memory of what was a wonderful holiday.
The surroundings, the ranch itself, the food and the interaction were all balanced perfectly and the accommodation lends itself to any type of traveller or group.
Iain and Sandie are marvellous hosts who made us feel like we were at our own home from the moment we walked in.
The pictures are spot on, you do see all that they show however they don't do it justice so you need to go and see it all for yourself.
When we return to Canada we will be including a stop here again!
Thank you
Si & Hazel

We really enjoyed our stay here, the location is so peaceful. Rooms are up to standards, the living room is a quite place to read your book and have a cup of tea. We really enjoyed breakfast with all sorts of fresh fruits and a lovely ‘‘egg roll’’. The location of the B&B is great if you want to discover Wells Gray Park.
On last night we had a lovely dinner in the ranch made by Will, it was excellent, thank you so much!

Room Tip: Garden room, has a lot of space and a extra bed. Although bit chilly.

A beautiful place to stay in Wells Grey Provincial Park. Warm and welcoming. Delicious food, comfortable bed and a breathtaking view. This is the best place to stay in Clearwater by far. Bring food with you for your lunch before you go into the park as it is a bit of a ride to get back into town.Thank you Will and Leah. You are wonderful hosts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

We have recently returned from a holiday to Canada, which included a two night stay in Wells Gray at Clearwater Springs Ranch. We booked well in advance because of the excellent reputation that this accomodation has. Our expectations before we arrived were quite high, but they were totally exceeded by the end of our stay. The hosts, Neil, Sandie, and their son Will, were superb. Such genuine and friendly people. We felt like we were staying with long time friends rather than at a hotel or lodgings. It was one of the highlights of our 20 day tour of Canada.
The ranch is a large custom built log cabin, which has been excellently fitted out in a complementary style. Our room had a four poster bed, a large en suite bathroom, and a sweeping decked veranda with superb views across pastures to the mountains beyond.
Breakfast and dinner were first class, with the opportunity for great conversation with the owners and other guests.
If you want to stay in Clearwater and Wells Gray as part of your tour of Canada, we would strongly recommend that you stay nowhere other than Clearwater Springs Ranch. You will not regeret it. They really deserve their five star rating on Trip Advisor.

Room Tip: The four poster room on the ground floor was excellent.
