“Nasty!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

This is by far one of the worst places to stay. Totally outdated and filthy, stains on the carpets, leaky faucets, doors drafty, musty smelly! The restaurant was okay.. nothing to write home about. Staff was okay friendly. The pool okay. When we complained they said they hear it all the time! NEVER again!

Room Tip: Just don't do it!!

the Red Coach INN should be listed as an UNHEALTHY! Mold in bathrooms, bathtub stained and dirty, leaking faucets, not even usable! Carpet so filthy you shouldn't take your shoes off!! When you speak to the office about the mold and uncleanliness they say they know all about it have heard the complaints but the owner does not want to do any upgrades! This motel is a HEALTH hazard!!!!! The owner is a SLUMLOARD!

Room Tip: Dont stay there!

We stop and eat at the Red Coach every time we pass through 100 Mile House. The restaurant is great, the lobby is clean and so, when we needed to spend a night in the town, it seemed natural that we would stay there. What a mistake! We have NEVER stayed at a place so dingy and dirty. The rugs are so gross, I had to put my shoes on to go to the washroom in the night. You seriously could not pay me to stay there again. I am certain NO traveller would return. Shame on the owner, who must have no pride or integrity whatsoever.

Motel was awful!!! One of the two sinks was backed up and not fixed as maintenance was unavailable. The tub was so old that it was brown and grey from all the years of use. The flooring in the bathroom was lifting up due to water damage. More water came out of the bath tap than the shower head. Water got cold part way through showering (and believe me it was a brief shower). The electric heat panel in the bathroom was full of dust, hair and who knows what. The walls are paper thin. The floors squeak no matter where you step. The only place to plug in a hair dryer is to unplug the A/C. Our room was on the second floor and the room was so hot it was unbearable to sleep even with the heat turned OFF during a typical Canadian winter night. We spoke to people staying on the first floor and they froze with the heat cranked. The beds were clean and ok for comfort however the pillows were lumpy.
We complained to the front desk clerk. We were told that they've had several complaints and that the owner will not do anything about it!

100 Mile House is a beautiful little community, find another hotel!!!

Room Tip: Don't stay at this motel.

We had stayed at this hotel twice in the past but since our last stay it's as different as night and day. Dirty, bug ridden very little hot water.

Stayed at the Red Coach 15 years ago and it was beautiful, Stayed there last weekend and it was the most disgusting hotel I had ever stayed in. Carpets were old and moldy in one corner. Coffee pot didn't work, The extra pillow on the shelf was covered in hair and dirty. Bathroom had mold all around the bathtub. In the heating vent beside the toilet there were broken pencils, candy wrappers, an inch of dirt and dust, and to my surprise a condom on top of it all. The tv had a continuos hum to it. The remote control had no back on it and the batteries kept falling out. We had called two days earlier to see if they had a hot tub,( I have a bad back and it helps) we were told yes we have one. When we went to enjoy the hot tub it was empty and out of order. The lady at the front desk said they had been waiting a week for parts. She couldn't explain why someone there said it was okay two days earlier. The pool water was clean but the surroundings and change room were dingy and dirty. Some light bulbs were burnt out in the changing room and my young son and daughter each cut their feet on something on the bottom of the pool. We went to talk to the manager and was told he was not on the property. I asked the front desk to call him and she said she was not allowed. I explained the situation to her and she moved us to a different room. Fridge didn't work, bathtub was moldy all around the edge. Bathtub mat in the tub was old, torn and literally stuck to the tub. Carpet was old and dirty. Broken light fixture hanging from the wall. Just a disgrace. We talked to a couple of other people and was told their experience was very similar. A maid told us that since the new owner had taken over a couple of years back that he just wants the money and doesn't care too much about the place. The food in the restaurant was good, found out that that part of the hotel is contracted out to someone else. That figures. If the Red Roach is the only place available in town, sleep in your car for your weeks vacation. It is cleaner and more healthier for you.
