“Great place with a great location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

We were 4 sister-in-laws out for a shopping getaway...and we decided to stay here because of he location. Very easy acces, close to the Outlets,, flemarket and the ols town of Bromont which is very charming. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the rooms well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was good, coffee hot and plentiful.

Even though we were told the hotel was full, we never felt crowded or the slightest bit overwhelmed by other guests. This hotel worked really well as we were visiting a ton of relatives and it gave us a peaceful respite from family events. We slept really well- not that usual for me when I travel. Comfy bed and great air conditioning. Staff was very friendly, especially Edward, who welcomed us home every evening and regaled us with local stories while we had a glass of wine in the lobby. Breakfast was a little more hearty than most, with tasty hardboiled eggs and croissants. I will say, however, finding a healthy meal anywhere nearby was difficult if not impossible. Lots fatty dishes and better restaurants seemed extremely crowded especially on the weekends. There is no restaurant in the hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed on first floor away from the lobby and it was fine. It might be nice to get an upper floor...

Pros :
-The hotel is clean, and it looks good
-The rooms are big enough
-The beds and pillows are really comfy

Cons :
-The hotel is part of an outside mall, near the highway.
-The breakfast is unsatisfactory (not many choices).
-The price/value ratio isn't really good.

Some pros, some cons. Honestly, would have giving more than an average grade but... The manager (owner?) of the hotel ruined it for us.

While we were eating breakfast, the owner (blonde lady of a certain age - from what we got, she wasn't an employe) was cleaning the tables. She never greated us (a simple "Good morning" would have been nice) when we got to the buffet, or even smiled at us. She just went from a table to another while listening a morning show on TV in the breakfast room. The TV was so loud, we couldn't ear ourselves talk! We thought of asking her to please lower the volume, but she looked so uninterested to talk to us, so unfriendly... A person (not of our group) got fed up, got up, and turned the volume down a bit ; she looked angry, and a few minutes afterwards, took the remote, and raised the volume again. If you dislike having guests, and making them feeling welcomed, don't work at an hotel ! It is a pity, because the rest of the staff (desk) were very polite.

So, we didn't eat really well (breakfast was too light for my hubby), felt like we were disturbing, and couldn't drink our coffee in peace... Not a nice way to start a day, especialy on a holiday!
Anyway, we liked our stay, but it ended on such a sour note, we feel like we might try another hotel next time. It's not like there aren't any other hotels in the area...

Dear customers,
Thank you for taking the time to write your comments and appreciation. We apologize for the negative attitude you experienced in the Lounge!
I can assure you that the person there was not the owner, nor the manager. We met with this employee to review the situation and put emphasis on our quality and courtesy standards.
We want to assure you of our commitment to delivering the best, courteous experience to all our clients.

My friend and I stayed at the St.Martin this weekend. The hotel was great: beautiful grounds, room was comfortable and clean, and hotel was quiet. Bed was also comfortable. The service was very helpful and staff were friendly. Continental breakfast was included, and it was one of the best continental breakfasts I've had in a hotel. We would definitely return to the St. Martin.

At $180 a night this hotel provides good value and a great location just off AutoRoute 10. There is an outlet mall behind the hotel but there was no traffic or noise. Three family restaurants within walking distance and 5 min. drive to the downtown vieux village. If you like golf there are 6 good courses within 30 minutes and the prices range from $25 to 80 per round. This hotel has nice pool and bar service. Only 3 stories high with 1 elevator but we never waited long. The included breakfast was ample enough to start our days. Front desk was very polite and helpful and English is spoken. We would recommend this hotel as a good place to stay while visiting the area which includes dozens of incredible bike and hiking trails.

I spent only one night in this hotel, arriving quite late in the night and leaving early in the morning. I've actually used a corporate rate from one of our customers, then I got a good value for money. Rooms and amenities are good level, overall atmosphere is nice. I didn't visit nor pool neither fitness center, then I can't judge. Bed and linens are ok, Buffet breakfast is quite poor, not at the level of the hotel and of the price.

I recently visited this hotel as part of a larger press trip and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

The location is ideal for those on the Route de Vin as it is central to nearly all points on the map. In addition to this, right across the parking lot is a tourism office and behind the hotel is an outlet mall, for those who might have forgotten, or need, items/clothing for their trip.

I found the decor at the hotel to be a calming influence and it suggests opulence, while not being overdone. The feeling there is very much like a European hotel or castle and the room was more than one could expect at your usual "chain" hotels, though this one isn't part of a chain, but privately owned.

The hotel hosts a cocktail party each night, which I wasn't able to attend, and the lounge is inviting; it felt as though I was in someone's living room, rather than a room off the lobby of a hotel. In the morning, the breakfast laid out is full of choices and filling, without being too much. The staff there were always smiling, quick with a cheerful, "Bon jour!" whether they'd seen me for the first time, or the third time. At breakfast, the table was out of my favorite hot tea, English Breakfast, but a request of the serving staff had it brought out, tout de suite.

A nice touch to the place is the wines served at the cocktail hour are from local wineries, the food served at breakfast is local when available, still fresh when it's not. In short, it was delicious! Following breakfast, I enjoyed my tea, sitting with my fellow travelers in front of the fireplace, talking about everything and nothing. It felt so continental and indulgent.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone but it's truly suited for couples looking for a romantic getaway. I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning because the mattress is cushy, the pillows plentiful and soft, the comforter filled with goose down, the sheets soft and with a high thread count.

The bathroom was roomy and had more (fluffy) towels than two people could use. The provided toiletries smelled marvelous and the water was hot for the duration of my shower, a rare thing nowadays.
