The Old Doctor's House provided just the accommodation we wanted during our visit to the Rocky Mountains. We spent three days at Emerald Lake Lodge prior to our stay in Field and the latter was much more to our liking - despite not having the wonderful view. What you see on the web is what you get - a clean, comfortable, well eqipped apartment. It was lovely to return "home" after an energetic day's hiking, have a shower, slip into something comfortable, cook our own meal and drink a bottle of wine was just what the doctor ordered! One night we strolled down the road to the Truffle and Pig Restaurant on one of the nights that we were in Field - it was good. Just make sure you buy your food and victuals before you get to Field - in Jasper, Banff or Golden or, at a pinch in Lake Louise village; supplies at the local shop are almost non-existent. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.
