I intentionally chose a location in the middle of Newfoundland, but was leery of a place without familiar brands. I had just come off Westins and Hiltons from the East Coast, and after second guessing my choice of the Carriage House several times, I relented and released it to surprise. What can I say, the posted images were less than impressive and the write ups a toss up for what to expect. Upon arrival, I slowly unravelled hand cupped eyes to utter a first impressioned, hmm ... cute (way more alive than the website pic). I walked in to highly polished floors, aromatic coffee, taste galore and a hostess that wouldn't quit. Cookies n coffee to the left, an impressive library surrounding cushy "new" wingbacked chairs to the right and a floor plan and decor that screamed four star! This place is way under rated; or should I say, without yet having been posted as spectacular. Go I urge you. One night was not enough. I felt like I was home. Of BnB hosts, Regina is the best kind - warm, easy spirited, knows her limits and delights in treating her guests to nothing short of total care. I was completely taken off guard. Thank you for a most charming and memorable stay.
