My husband and I stayed at Days at the Lake B&B for our first anniversary. This was our first experience at a B&B and it was phenomenal. We were spoiled rotten by Wendy and Stephen. We stayed in the Oh So Suite room and it was lovely.
The night we arrived, we asked to have a bonfire as we weren't sure if the weather would permit one the second night. Stephen asked us what time we wanted it and had it burning brightly when we arrived at the pit. We sat by the fire with them and chatted and enjoyed the beautiful night.
The next morning, Wendy had freshly brewed coffee ready for us so we could enjoy it by the dock for a bit before our fantastic gourmet breakfast. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful.
After breakfast, we explored the immaculate gardens and had so much fun watching nature. There was no shortage of animals and birds to watch. We then ventured down to the dock where we spent the rest of the day. There is a little beach area beside the dock. The water was the perfect depth and temperature and the lake was just right in terms of activity and boat traffic. We took the paddle boat out and explored the surrounding area a little - we were pleasantly surprised at how well the paddle boat worked too!! There were pool noodles, life jackets, water loungers and regular loungers, kayaks and canoes available for use. This B&B felt like a peaceful and relaxing resort!
Wendy and Stephen have done a fantastic job at creating a place that is peaceful and yet full of things to do as well. They are wonderful hosts and by the end of our weekend, we felt like we were family and didn't want to leave.
We definitely will return and would recommend this B&B to anyone! It is completely worth every penny.
