“Feels like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

I just recently spent a great night at Days at the lake B and B , I found the location perfectly situated in Muskoka between Bala and Gravenhurst. Wendy and Steve have built such a beautiful place that makes one feel relaxed and at home from the roaring wood fireplace burning to the warmth of heated slate floors. I felt at home the minute I arrived and look forward to another visit soon .

Room Tip: I was able to pick the room closest to the kitchen and fireplace which I realy enjoyed my coffee and...

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Muskoka and Wendy & Steve were the perfect hosts to make my birthday that much more special. It's a wonderful, secluded property and there's lots to do - hiking, canoeing, kayaking and hanging out on the pier or in the hot tub. One tip: don't sleep in...Wendy's breakfast is worth waking up for! Will definitely be back.

If you are looking for a lovely Muskoka weekend escape from the city...Days at the Lake B&B is a great destination located just over 2 hours from Toronto. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the owners who quickly made us feel at home. Wendy, who is one of the owners, is more than happy to prepare not only a wonderful breakfast, but also dinner if you decide to stay in for the evening. The B&B has 4 guest rooms, a hot tub, wood stove fireplace as well as an outdoor fire pit where you can enjoy a bonfire amidst the beautiful lake side surrounding. Because the rooms are mostly located near the kitchen, you can hear activity in the morning as guests wake up to enjoy their breakfast...not a concern for those who want to be up and enjoy their day...but just something to be aware of if you are planning to sleep in during your stay. We visited the B&B in October and were fortunate enough to enjoy the beauty of Muskoka in the Fall...but it is a certainly a lovely destination for any season.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at "Days at the lake" in September 2012. Steve and Wendy are great hosts. It is a beautiful B&B with many extras not seen at other places. The beds, linens, and breakfast were all top notch. I loved the woodstove and common area. Its the extras that make it above anything else we've been to. The use of hot tub, paddle boat, and kayak were so much fun. We also loved the sunset cruse on the pontoon boat. A very memorable, affordable, getaway!!!

Room Tip: We preferred the rooms with their own bathrooms but if your on a budget the 2 rooms sharing a bathro...

I had the best birthday long weekend at Day at the Lake B&B. Wendy and Stephen were so friendly. It was great to sit by the fire and enjoy the beautiful lake views. I highly recommend staying here. Wendy cooks up wonderful meals. Thanksgiving was extra special. If you get a chance, sit in the hot tub at night and look up at the stars. For fresh air, friendly service and great laughs, stay at this B&B. You'll get a kick out of watching the chipmunks and bird life. The cruise offered by Stephen and Wendy is worth it. I'll visit this B&B again.

Just celebrated our anniversary at Wendy and Stephen's B&B - what a great decision to book with them!! Wendy made us feel right at home the minute we arrived - even sang a few bars of "Happy Anniversary" for fun when we came to the door! We enjoyed great hospitality and just the right amount of "down" time, too. The set up of the guest rooms and common area is perfect with just enough privacy and a nice homey feeling at the same time. Wendy made us a wonderful, healthy, hearty breakfast each morning and we enjoyed the sights of the area during the day.
Thanks so much for a lovely stay, we will be sure to recommend you to all our friends!!

Days at the lake B&B with Wendy and Stephen is fantastic.
We entered their home and immediately felt like family. (btw. Wendy, thanks for the great Thanksgiving dinner!!!)
Wendy's breakfasts are outstanding. I do not know one single B&B or hotel that even comes close. (see the uploaded picture)
Wendy is so sweet she helped us making arrangement with a doctor as my wife had a little issue. Nothing we had to ask for... She just helped us. Again: "Like family".
The house is pretty new. Wendy and Stephen put lots of love in their place. The rooms are all set up with an eye for details. Some nice pieces of art. Some antique and valuable furniture. Everything just beautiful.
We will come again!
