“good service, tasty food,”

the mussels were cooked just right and my husband got the acadian stew that was seasoned perfectly, my caesar salad was over dressed. but the service was excellent, and the view was great, we would go back again.

“Pub food par excellence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

The visitor to Lunenburg is spoiled for choice with dining options and most look much the same from the outside. The Grand Banker Bar has a good outlook over the old wharf and bay with a cozy seaport pub atmosphere however the food is outstanding. We shared three dishes, of which the mussels and bruschetta were well presented and very tasty with fresh, high quality ingredients. However the Cajun seafood stew entree was exceptional and although it was more than we wanted to eat, we ordered more bread just to soak up the last molecule of sauce that was surely as good as the best we have ever had. The other dishes we saw being served also looked very inviting so we will just have to return to try some of them. The wine selection is limited but adequate to the task, otherwise there is a full range of pub drinks.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner and drinks at the Grand Banker Bar. We both had the fish specials and definitely enjoyed them.

“Great for a Friday Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

Back on the horse after a disaster at The Knot pub, we wanted good simple food cooked well and that's just what we got served with a smile. Wished that we could have sampled more of the delicious menu had we felt better.

Only concern was that when the air con was on it was like dining in a wind tunnel!

“Great food, nice views, friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

It has this nice view of the Lunenburg Bay and the ambience was quiet relaxed. The food was really good, I had the fish cakes and my partner had the Acadian style Cajun Seafood stew and I have to admit, the stew was amazing. The fish cakes and fries were great too! The service was pretty friendly too.
