“"Cozy Dining with a Special Menu"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is a small, cozy restaurant that has a great menu with a variety of delicious German meals prepared to perfection. Main courses and deserts are realy fantastic. Staff is always extremely friendly and prices are reasonable. Great place for locals to eat and also for visitors who are visiting our wonderful & scenic Nova Scotia.

“cannot understand this restaurant's popularity”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

the worst meal I have ever eaten - anywhere. My husband lived in Germany and commented that this must have been what East German food tasted like before the wall fell. We have many German friends and have eaten German food in many restaurants and have NEVER had food like this. What flavour there was in the food was terrible - everything tasted like boiled used shoe leather - including dessert. PLEASE drive all the way into Lunenburg and go to one of the many wonderful restaurants in town before you choose to go here. the servers/owners were lovely and I'm sure they are nice people but honestly, the food is inedible!

Amazing food! The owners are from the area around Stuttgart, Germany......I need to go back there many, many times! Make sure you have a reservation when you go.

“Terrific German Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012 via mobile

I find the review below from the people from Arkansas inexplicable. We went to this restaurant four times this summer and it has terrific food, great sides, salad and salad dressing and wonderful German brown gravy. The schnitzels are always thin and crispy and the multaschen with crispy onions is out of this world.

It is the best German food I have ever had in my life! In terms of value for money, it is the best restaurant on the South Shore. None better. None!
