“Kayaks and Gold Creek Trail all in one day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We have camped in Golden Ears PP before, but since it's so close to home, we often make day trips instead. We rented a kayak for an hour and the 5 of us took turns paddling to the quiet beaches across Alouette Lake.

On the same day, we made the short-ish hike up Gold Creek to the lower waterfalls and had a short glacial float down the river.

I would highly recommend coming to Golden Ears for the day. If you are a runner, there are wonderful trails throughout the park. Just bring your trail shoes and a running buddy. It's always cooler in the woods.

“Awesome outdoor experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This has got to be the most beautiful park around. The rain forest is spectacular. Great camping available with well maintained sites and lots of nice hiking trails. The lake is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and the lower trails falls is a nice walk to some water pools that are something to behold. We even went horseback riding with Equutrails. Definately worth a visit.

“Great place for hiking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

The park is well outside the city of Vancouver, about an hour's drive, but once there you wouldn't know that there was a city within a hundred miles. There are many different walking and hiking trails.

“A great summer day trip for the whole family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Come here often. The park has walking and hiking trails with varying degree of distance and difficulty. A lovely walk to the falls, for a longer walk take the loop trail. Park has a great beach and picnic area. Take your own lunch

“Beautiful Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

My husband and I were visiting from the states to see family in the area. We drove to Golden Ears Park and loved Being able to walk through the park to the lake was great. The scenery and the lake are breathtaking. For anyone visiting, be sure to bring a camera and be sure to give yourself lots of time to see the park and enjoy the views.
