“Spacious and comfortable room, superb breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

My wife and I and two friends stayed at this inn on the second night of a bicycle tour along the P'tit Train du Nord linear park from Mont-Laurier, Quebec to St-Jerome, Quebec. Our stay was part of a tour package booked through Cyclo-Gites Voyageurs B&B (this inn). We arrived in the middle of the afternoon after riding about 59 kM from Nominique. The inn is just off the bike path, almost within sight, and we had no trouble finding it. My French is very poor, but we had no trouble communicating with Linda, and Jean-Claude speaks very good English. There was a securely locked shed in which to store our bicycling gear.
Our room, was spacious and comfortable with queen-sized bed and was very clean. There was an a/c unit, which was appreciated, as it was a warm day, by Quebec standards.
Dinner was included in the tour package, but not served at the inn. We were issued a coupon for dinner at Vieux Four, an Italian restaurant about 1.6 kM/1 mile away in St-Jovite. We chose to walk there, which may have been a mistake after biking most of the day. The food at Vieux Four was very good, but perhaps not great. But we sat outside on a nice evening and enjoyed ourselves, and then took a taxi back to the inn. Breakfast was served at the inn and was sumptuous and filling, with frittata, croissants, fresh fruit, etc.
I will definitely try to stay at L'Auberg Le Voyageur again the next time I ride this bike tour.

We enjoyed our two nights at this B&B. Is was more than we could have imagined. The home is very nice with well appointed rooms and the owners were pleasant, courteous and excellent cooks. The common room was a great place to chat and visit with other bikers. The breakfasts were deliciously gourmet and filling enough for a day of biking. It was very nice to have a safe clean lockup for bikes at night. J&B

We stayed at Auberge in June 2012 for a week with our young daughter. From the moment we arrived we loved the place, and we're blown away by the fantastic welcome that we received.
The breakfast is simply out of this world, and it is a great location right alongside the cycle path, and close to town with its shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
The owners were fantastically helpful and accommodating, and especially to our little daughter.
There is a lovely lounge area and great gardens for sitting out in.

We would go back there in a heartbeat.

Le Voyageur is a fairly non-descript B&B with standard food, rooms and space. We stayed there while biking on the Petit Train du Nord, but wouldn't stay there again. St-Jovite itself is also not a very interesting small town, and the dinner coupon that was included in our reservation was for a very disappointing "Italian" restaurant called Le Vieux Four. The food and service there were both mediocre.

Overall, compared with the many smaller and more lovingly run B&Bs along the bike route Le Voyageur doesn't stand up very well. Also, as others have noted, all the common spaces smell heavily of cigarette smoke.

Stayed here 6/26 while biking the Petit Train Du Nord. The B&B is very elegant and the bedroom was large. The bathroom was clean and modern. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also large and tasty. Only issue was we had to transport ourselves into town (approx 1 km for dinner. If it were raining this could be a problem.) There is a pizza/bar across the street that would have been fine with us. We would definitely stay here again. There is a nice park across the street.

Room Tip: There is also a bike shop in town for those needing repairs

We stopped here on our second night at the bike trail Le P'tit Train du Nord this summer. The B&B is quite correct, but we were expecting something a bit more charming. This place was just functional.

My main problem with Le Voyageur was that everything in the common areas smelled *very* strongly of cigarettes. I have very little patience for that.

Breakfast was included in the price but was quite scant. Correct, but not exceptional.

As for the location, it's a 15 min walk from the centre of the village where most of the restaurants and stores are. Something to take into account if you're not coming by car.
