“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2011

This was a long weekend trip with colleagues. An excellent small hotel with well appointed rooms (we stayed in a one bedroom suite). Quiet, great location near to the village gondola and skating rink. Easy access to the slopes and shops and restaurants.

Casual breakfast served continental style in the lobby and we had included ski valet to collect your equipment right at the slopes.

This is our 4th visit to Mont Tremblant and will be revisiting next season and returning to this hotel. It is small - just 69 rooms. The social area is small - 3 large sofas and a few tables/chairs. To cater for breakfast, it is recommended that you take your selection to your room (tray provided). This works brilliantly. Our room had a kitchen area with dining table and chairs. It's really no problem to go up and down with your mountain of waffles/bagels/cereal in the lift. The breakfast is continental with a great choice.

The hotel is at the bottom of the village near the cabriolet but ski valet is included so each evening you simply drop your ski gear at the bottom of the slope and collect the following morning. This was the selling point for us!! No lugging of ski's and poles... and the dragging to the lockers.... fumbling with locks....

The rooms are finished to a high standard with balcony. There is a hot-tub with robes provided.

Our only complaint..... and actually quite a significant one.... no wi-fi!!! Please Ermitage Du Lac, give us wi-fi for our next visit. All the other hotels we have stayed in have it.

Lovely boutique hotel and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful with every request we made including away from the hotel when we asked for guidance with restaurants, transport etc. Nothing was too much trouble. We had two teenagers with us and our only comment was that the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable but it might have been fine for smaller/younger children. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and it was great to be able to bring it back to the suite.

Recently stayed at the Ermitage du Lac. It has a smaller hotel feel which is nice. We stayed in the King Suite and it was very nice and clean. The breakfast was good for a continental breakfast. The Ermitage is one of the lodging options that has a shuttle from the airport which is very convienent and I assume is cheaper than taking a cab. ($35 each round trip) The only minor complaint, which didn't bother me but bothered my boyfriend, is that you are not allowed to have skis and boards in the room. Instead they have a ski valet which is very convienent but if you don't like the idea of leaving your skis/boards or having others handling them, it could be a negative. Also, you have to pay for the ski valet even though you are forced to use it. It's not very expensive but its too bad you aren't given the option of keeping your skis/boards. There is a ski rack outside that you can lock your skis to, but it is not sized for snowboards. Just thought I would add the warning incase this is a deal breaker to anyone. Other than that, great hotel and a great stay.

Very nice! all commodities were provided. The hotel had almost everything a hot tub a gym a play room and a lounge where breakfast was served. the rooms were very well done. even a small propane fireplace for effect and heat. the hotel itself is situated at the bottom of the village but the lift is near by. helpful and friendly staff. to the ski area. the village itself is amazing. would have liked a better breakfast for the price they charge.....

Mont Tremblant, PQ CANADA
Ermitage Du Lac Hotel -
- There were 8 (6 adults 2 kids) of us who recently spent our summer vacation for 3 days in this resort. This is a mountain resort in Lake Tremblant and the surrounding is nice clean and relaxing. There are activities for all ages and also a casino. There are lots of restaurants to choose from. Our hotel is great. It is located within the pedestrian village of Mont Tremblant.
We rented 3 bedroom suite each room has shower and the master suite has also a soaking tub. Free breakfast is included with choices of pastries and gourmet coffee and teas. There is full a kitchen if you want to prepare your own meal. We also have our own backyard patio. Acitivities are all within walking distance in the village. There is also outdoor swimming pool and hottub pool. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and relatives who has not been here.

The hotel is located at the base of the village and is within 1000M's to the village lift. The village lift wisks you to the top of the village close to the gondola, Luge Park, Ski lifts, Casino lift , main stage etc. The lift and Gondola start running @ 10:00am. The village is clean and active with buskers, local musicians and plenty of activity for young children. Restaurants abound with many different food choices and range from medium to very high prices.

Ermitage Du Lac is a small boutique hotel with rooms overlooking as small pond. Daily breakfast is ready by 645am and is fantastic with a broad and plentiful selection of fruits, cereals, breads, cheeses etc. This far exceeded our expectation. We stayed in a one bedroom condominium with a small kitchenette and gas fireplace. The overall room was small and very tight for space with the sofa bed extended. The master bedroom had a comfortable queen sized bed with down filled duvee, the living room had a pull out queen sofa bed that barely fits the room and was very uncomfortable. There was a step up to a very small balcony with just enough room for 2 chairs. The airconditioning thermostat is located in the main room with the airconditioner in the master bedroom. You must leave the doors open or the room will not cool properly and causes the airconditioned to run all the time. This can ver very loud and annoying at night and causes the master bedroom to become uncomfortably cool.
The kitchenette was well equiped with plenty of cutlery, dishes and pots and pans. There was dish soap and 2 dishwashing sopa cubes. Room furnishings were current and in good condition.

The pool and area surrounding the pool were extremely undersized. On 3 separate occasions we attempted to find space at the pool and were unsuccessful. There are a total of approximately 16 seats by the pool. There is no space for any additional seating. One of them is taken by the lifeguard.

Parking is an additional $10/day-Internet charge $10/day- Both are unnecessary charges and should be included with the stay.

All in all a good location for village activities or golfing adventures. The hotel is better suited for adult only travellers.

We will try a different hotel on our next adventure to Mont Tremblant.

Cheers
