“Really great hotel, in a great ski resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We stayed here for a week on a ski trip. The hotel location is great, about 300 yards to the ski lift, ski school, rental etc and at the top of the resort so restaurants, shops etc are on the doorstep.
Our suite was huge: kitchen, dining table and large sitting room with fireplace, then a separate bedroom and bathroom. We had two double beds in the bedroom. Unfortunately, the bed was not comfortable: the sheet/duvet combination was horrible and the duvet fabric was slippery so kept falling off the bed. Looked lovely but we didn't sleep well all week.
Note there are heating controls in three zones of the suite: sitting room, bedroom and bathroom: it took us a while to get them all how we wanted them so we were hot or cold for a day or so while we figured it all out. The previous person had obviously had problems too as they had switched the whole lot off in the fuse cabinet!
We didn't cook in the kitchen, but everything was there to do so. The general store is expensive though so bring food with you if you can. Breakfast is included and was great. The complimentary "welcome home" snack (Mon-Thurs, 4-6pm) isn't so great but is well intentioned.
Housekeeping was a little erratic: our room wasn't cleaned for two days as they thought we had requested privacy: we hadn't, but this was quickly sorted out.
Note that anything you buy in the resort has three taxes added to the price - the two standard VAT equivalents totalling 15% plus a 3% which goes towards upkeep of the resort.
BTW, the skiing here is great! And we got to Tremblant from Montreal airport using the Skyport shuttle service, which was really convenient.

We have been at this hotel on the first week of february.

First, we have to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar:

Awesome location on the Place St-Bernard. Something like 50 steps from the chair lift or gondola. Good selection of food for breakfast. Room was clean and the hallway too.

It's about it...

We visit many Homewood and this hotel is the worst stay we had. We had this reservation for 10 months. So we have been given a parking view. When i called the front desk on the first 30 minutes of our stay to complain about our location, the lady said to me that she cannot move us in the same type of room. She offered us a two double bed room. That was not what i expected from this location. I did my mourning for a better location.

So we had a queen suite with only one televison. In the separate room there was no televison. Every time we slept in a Homewood Suites, there was 2 televisons in this type of room.

There was two things that we was not hoping for:

Soundproofing and insulating of the windows was very poor. Cold was entering the room almost freely.
We went there for skiing so we expected and hoping for snow. We had some snow and the soundproofing was very, very, very weak. we were awakened by a man that was shoveling every hour. I was thinking that he was in the room.

So exceptionnal location but poor rooms quality .

I booked a Porter Air Escape package from Toronto which included 3 nites at this hotel --- air port shuttle will deliver you right ot the door -

Check in was friendly and efficient - I had a one bedroom condo unit with kitchen well equipped to make simple meals (pots / pans , utensils , dishes, coffee maker, toaster , full size fridge / stove, microwave , dishwasher) - the bed was comfortable - the LR and DR furniture basic but clean and comfortable - the linens were hotel quality - the unit was very clean throughout , as are hotel common areas.

I asked for a quiet unit and indeed it was despite the hotel was full - the location is easy walking distance to the lifts, and the entire pedestrian village.

The hotel serves a daily buffet hot / cold breakfast - the food is good, the selection includes fruit , breads, muffins, juices , cereals, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.... quite satisfying to fuel you for a few hours skiing .

They also served a end of day soup / light meal Monday through Thursday 4PM to 6PM -- I think it will fill the bill for child's dinner but won't do the trick for a hungry man .

Skis can be safely stowed in their ski room --- albeit I left mine locked up overnight outside in the ski key rack right outside the door - there are numerous of these racks throughout the resort and you should use them to lock your skis when going inside for a break.

In the pedestrian village you will find all manner of restaurants --- and a liquor store --- groceries are only available at the general store where prices are steep and selection limited .

The caferia food in the lodges is OK but again prices are steep - if you have a family to feed best to pack a lunch which you can stowe at the lodges or better yet , go back to your suite in this hotel to avoid the crowds .

Check out is noon - I skied till about 11:15 and went back to my room for lunch - then put all my baggage in their baggage room and went back skiing - at end of day, the hotel provided access to the pool change rooms where you can shower and change for the flight home - the airport shuttle picked me up at the door and an hour later I was on the flight back to Toronto .

Tremblant is an excellent ski destination so attracts a lot of people - if possible go during the week - as I was alone I joined the guided visits daily and skiied with some fine people for a few hours each morning.

I would go back to this hotel and would recommend it to others. The Porter Air package makes this an easy ski getaway.

we just came back from a 7 days family trip to homewood suites in mont trembling, just great.

Positive Points: the location!!! (just in the centre of the village surrounding by restaurants, shops and off course the montain), actually there is 2 hotels that meet this perfect and priceless location : the fairmont and the homewood suites. the room are all apartment suites living types accommodation (a kitchen, a living room and a fireplace), the hotel offer every day breakfast and cocktail time, the concierge is good, they have a spa (hot whirlpool outside the hotel).

negative points: housekeeping once a day (poor service, they do the strict minimum) but the lady are still very nice and welcoming, i guess it is the policy of the house; it's not a luxury hotel as the fairmont or the quintessence (hotel on the other side of the hilton facing the lake and not the mountain, very nice and for sure the most luxurious place), the food at the breakfast is very poor and average in terms of taste (but it is free so... no place for complaints), there is no room service at all, the quilt of the bed are brown/red color so you don't feel very comfortable with as you never know if it is clean.

in one word: nice place to stay with family as the location is close to everything, as you have kitchen you can prepare some meals (that can make the difference with a tough budget).
if you are looking for a luxurious place go to Quintessence hotel.

Room Tip: pick a room that is facing the mountain, you'll have a view of the village center and the dynami...

Front Desk should pay attention on people standing on line waiting instead of taking care of any person who approach. Check in at 4 pm? Are you serious??????? Check out at 12 pm? I want to enjoy the day at Tremblant and not check in when is dark and cold. I want to sleep until 3 pm not being up at 11 am. (Traveling with a baby) Worst night mare in this hotel. In conclusion,I had better times at the hostel for less money and better service.

Having stayed at Tremblant somewhere on the mountain every winter for over 20 years - we thought we would give the Homewood a try. We reserved through Tremblant reservations and booked 2 suites, 4 nights. Called the day of travel to confirm that we were coming and that we would be arriving after dinner. Upon arrival, we were told all the loft and den rooms had been taken and we would have one with a murphy bed in the living room, and a pull out. NOT good! We have 3 teens and this was going to be a problem for 4 nights. Only after a significant amount of complaining (did I say rage?) did the manager find a suite that was what we had reserved (and paid for! in advance!) for the remaining 3 nights. The worst part was the staff at the front desk blaming Mont Tremblant reservations for this error and me for booking through them! WOW!!
The location is excellent, the rooms are adequate, the breakfast is sufficient - but the check in experience - not so good, to say the least.

Because the location is right at the top of the pedestrian village - it's noisy as people are going back to their hotels.
Skiing was good - conditions were well groomed.

19th Jan-2nd Feb.
Travelled on a package with Inghams, second time to Tremblant , last time 10 years ago.
From the moment we arrived minus one of our cases(care of BA) the reception staff were excellent and very helpful.
Initial suite was lovely with a reasonable view of lake, but after 2 days heating ceased to work properly but we were moved without any problems to a similar suite overlooking square.
Suites were kept well serviced and our housekeeper was excellent, even unloaded our dishwasher for us if it had finished cycle.
Breakfast was good 7-10am though as other reviewer said did run out of bacon once after 9.30 but supplied ham instead.Cooked option varied daily.
Welcome home snacks Mon-Thurs 4-6pm were quite substantial, chilli , thick soup ,pasta and quiche.
The spa consisted of a large outdoor Jacuzzi-lovely when it's snowing and a sauna but the changing area was a bit odd- 2 shower rooms.
The appartments are self catering, local bus is $2.25 each way to St Jovite and Metro supermarket has return stop outside.
Eating out in Tremblant can be very expensive and the on site supermarket is also very expensive.
SAQ winestore has reasonably priced wine.
It was very cold the first week (as low as -35C)so some lifts were closed because of the wind on one side of the mountain was piercing but we could still access most of the mountain. The upside was the snow conditions were excellent. Unfortunately weather being what it is it rained in the middle of the second week but skiing was ok and almost back to normal by Friday.Obviously this has no reflection on the accomodation.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the square.
