“Good value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend for 3 nights, in a 1 bedroom suite (accommodates 4 people) It was a bit dated, but the location can't be beat! Right in the middle of the village, close to everything - from the lifts to restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were very friendly. My only complaint would be the lack of free internet - other hotels in the village offer it and it would be nice to have it! Other than that, I would not hesitate to stay again!

Couple minutes walk downhill to the base of the cabriolet( open gondola from base of pedestrian village to lifts). You can ski down to within about 50 meters of the front door if there is enough snow on the path, which goes along the right side of the village and behind the Marriot. Only steps to restaurants and general store.Great location for ski storage which is beside the main entrance and it is free (they give you a padlock to use)
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very quiet and clean. Great value although two days were during the week and before Christmas.
Good breakfast although can get busy, staff should organize a line for seating. No bacon or hot eggs, potatoes, etc but hardboiled eggs, waffle maker, cream cheese, toast ,bagels, cereal. Kitchen staff does their best when it is busy.
Great outdoor hot tub but only seats about six people.Expensive if you want internet $15 day, did not use. Did not park so dont know cost.
I would stay again.

I agree with people who say that's a good hotel for it's value. My family stayed there for 5 nights during Christmas period. The furniture in the room was kind of "used" if you know what I mean. It's not a Hilton. The hotel location is about 50 meters from the lift. The walk to the large free car parking is about 3-4 min if you want to save $12/night + tax. There were always free spots on P1 parking (the closest to the hotel). The food variety on breakfast was OK but there was no hot food except self-made waffles. The breakfast area is really overcrowded between 7:30 - 8:30 am; you'll have a problem to find a free table. The front desk guy named Michael was very helpfull to suggest good places to each at. If you would be driving from Toronto area, choose the way via Montreal. Although it''s about 80 km longer, but it's all the way a free way with 2 lanes in each direction. The road via Ottawa is very slow on the last 80-100 km as it goes through many hills, has lots of turns and just one lane in each direction. There is a large food store within about 10 km from the hotel named IGA where you can get wine and and beer as well. The tourist village has a small food store but it's very basic.

First time staying at the Kandehar - a family of three.

Briefly the room was fairly comfortable and the large TV and lounge area was fine albeit with a fairly limited range of TV channels.

The breakfast is nice, the staff are friendly, the hotel parking is a squeeze and the hotel itself is nicely located.

Whats not to like? Nothing much but there is nothing much to LOVE about this hotel, its just pretty standard Im afraid. One thing you might like to know is there is plenty of noise from some well oiled folk late at night. Not the hotel's fault of course but we were woken up a few times by these inconsiderates! (i.e me: 10-15 years ago)

Hotel needs a website, that would help with directions, check out times etc.

Good value for the price in the resort village of Mont Tremblant. The hotel posts a 4 star rating however it is more comparable to a three star hotel. The breakfast area is quite tight for the size of the hotel, there is a long waiting time to get a free table. Quality as well as variety of breakfast varies between a week-end day and a normal week day. Rooms are clean, quiet and well furnished although some furniture shows signs of abuse and damage and should be attended to.

Great value ! Very friendly employees. Clean and quiet room (we took a suite with a kitchen), well equipped. Hotel is very well located within the pedestrian village. Excellent for kids. My only recommendation is that internet fees should be a little bit cheaper ($24 for three days) or included within the room price. You can park for free approx. 100m away from the Hotel. Very convenient.
Merci Beaucoup et au revoir !

Had a great stay at their establishment. The places are very comfortable and big and very clean (I'm pretty picky when it comes to this too), so I was very pleased.
