“Great location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We've been at the Grand Lodge a couple of times, its quite beautiful with a nice rustic cottage feel. Not pretentious at all, you feel the comforts of home within a luxurious setting. Its also perfectly situated, halfway between town and the Mont Tremblant village. It has all the accommodations you'd have in an apartment with a kitchenette and 2 full bathrooms. The large balconies facing the water are just lovely.
The restaurant is beautiful and the food is fantastic, diner was a real treat!
It also offers a shuttle service to the ski hills.

My only issues-
1- The wifi services, it doesn't work well, each time we had issues and once they actually made me call their service provider myself, which I found a bit odd. I would normally not care if I was on a vacation, but I was there to work partly and needed access. They refused to do a "re-boot" or to offer a room that had a working network. Too bad for that part.

2- The noise. The rooms are set off the hallway in pairs, so you have to enter a small secondary hallway to get to 2 rooms. We've been unlucky a few times being "paired" with sports teams being rowdy in the halls and waking up really early for their tournaments. It would be best not to reserve rooms besides families who need a quiet space.

Really enjoyed this comfortable and friendly lodge. Yes, the decor is certainly retro/Canada/lodgey, but that's part of the fun. The front desk people were very helpful and friendly, the room was very clean, (though a bit worn), the bed was firm, comfortable, and topped with very clean white sheets and comforter. Lots of great hot water and pressure in the showers and even a kitchen and balcony! Also, very quiet at night. Right near Petit Nord bike trail and they're bike-friendly here! We'll be back!

Room Tip: The lake view is lovely!

Enjoyed our recent stay. Room had small kitchen, fireplace, separate bedroom and deck with lovely view. Place is used heavily in the ski season and shows some wear and tear from this but we was comfortable and enjoyable. It was convenient to most areas that we wanted to visit but not within walking distance...needed a car. Didn't eat in their restaurant but heard it was good. Place had very nice common room with confortable seating area and a bar also looking out to the lake.

Room Tip: upper floors have better view

We stayed from August 20th to the 26th for the ASN Canadian Karting Championships. The track is no more than 3 minutes up the road on the other side of the roundabout. Great location on the lake and a nice sanctuary after an exhausting day of racing. I wanted to give 4.5 stars but TA only allows whole numbers.

The lodge and location on the lake is beautiful. We had a lakeside room on the 3rd floor (312). I really liked the room although the tv's could use upgrading. It was nice having the kitchen for breakfasts and lunches.

We ate once at the restaurant and it was a really nice time. We sat out on the patio overlooking the lake and listening to the loons at dusk. We snacked on chicken wings, Caesar salad, etc. and all were very good. I would've liked to see a local beer or 2 on tap. Service at the hotel and the restaurant was top notch.

We had a problem in the room (smoke detector) that was addressed promptly (6 am) and then resolved to our satisfaction later in the day.

It's also an easy drive into St. Jovite, the old village, and the mountain.

As another reviewer wrote, I would recommend bringing your own pillows. We unfortunately forgot ours there, and the housekeeping department was very good to find and hold them.

The sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool were well maintained and enjoyed greatly.

I won't hesitate to stay here again!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the lake.

Second time at the Grand Lodge, the first time was 2 years ago, I must say the scenery is
awesome, but the rooms need a good face lift, the rugs and the furniture are warned and outdated, The pool felt a little slimy, the service was not the best either, we had to be very persuasive to get any kind of service at the beach. Overall for the price which was hefty 250.00 $ plus taxes a night they should really try and improve on a few things. Still good times were had by all. Beautiful lake and beach, always boats at your disposal.

Room Tip: make sure you get a room with a view of the lake, spectacular.

We arrived late in the afternoon, tired from the drive in heavy traffic from Montreal but Sylvie's warm welcome and smile at the front desk erased all away. What a difference a simple gesture can make! The Lodge are lucky to have such a great employee as the front of their business!

Our first visit to the Lodge was in the summer of 2007, since then very little if anything has changed in the layout and amenities. The couch in our suite was worn out and the carpet wasn't so appealing. Overall you get good value for the money

Room Tip: Ask for lake view! Worth every penny!!
