What does one look for in a holiday and especially in an accomodation? My criteria and not necessarily in that order are the 3 P's (ok, I do come from a logistics background!!) price, proximity, politeness and Le Boise Du Lac scores 5 stars on each of these. Compared to some of the big brand hotels/chateau in the area my wallet did not have a big hole at the end of our stay, the motel is located right on lake duhamel, think half the rooms face the lake and the other half dont - you may want to put a 'special' request through if you do need a lake facing room and more likely than not the hosts will be willing to accomodate your request. Fabienne & Vincent are both excellent hosts, smiling, helpful and very patient ! We were a large group of 8 adults and 4 elementary school going kids and I can tell you there was enough to do for all on the motel/private beach premises. The paddle boats/canoes are in great condition and any novice or expert paddler/rower can enjoy these freebies that one will be hard pressed to find in the very 'touristy' resort/village area of mont-tremblant a few miles away.

this said, we spent a day at the resort , again lots of stuff for kids to do. My favorite was the Luge. I recommend taking the pass for 3 rides!!

Coming back to the motel, the only down side I can think of, if at all, was the spread of the breakfast. If muffins, toast, orange juice, cereal , coffee is enough to get you going then you will not have any complaints. I would have thrown in some fruit and eggs but again the kitchen is fully equipped so bring your own provisions and eat one less meal outside! They also have 2 bbq pits and if you request Vincent he can even rig up a camp fire, we could not do this as it rained on the day we were supposed to roast the marshmellows :(

There are no parking fees, bathrooms sizes are decent, mainly they are clean and bathroom linen is changed as per your preferance. Beds are comfortable.

We would go there often if not for the long-ish drive from Southern Ontario!

Happy Days!

Room Tip: ask for rooms from 2 to 6 (I think) for lake facing

i booked this accommodation on-line following the reviews i read. The reviews were very accurate: the place was pleasant, clean, comfortable with accommodating owners. There is a small common kitchen for use by the guests with a number of tables. The kitchen made it feel more homey -- you don't have to leave the place each time you'd like to have a sack / coffee/ tea or a quick meal which i really appreciated. Continental breakfast is offered there which i have no complaints about. I really enjoyed their muffins. THere was a mini fridge in my room which helps with having some basics on hand.
One of the things that I really appreciated was the fact that the motel was located off the main highway and far away from other businesses/ commercial buildings/ high traffic areas which made it feel very quiet and cottage like and yet it is only 10 min. drive from St. Jovit and 10 min. from Mr. Tremblant. Great location and so tucked away and quiet! I imagine that summer is even more charming there.
The place offers the unique blend of privacy and homeyness. I would definitely go there again and / or recommend it for anyone looking for a quality budget accommodation.
I hope this helps you to select it as your next holiday accommodation. I'm very pleased with my stay there: easy, accommodating, comfy.

There are just a few things that I wanted to mention to anyone interested in staying at this hotel. First, it is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the owners were helpful, and they have a decent range of breakfast choices. Second, I tried to do a lot of research in the area before choosing a place to stay. I was using several online booking sites and eventually booked with Priceline. Now, the price listed on Priceline was for double occupancy only and I was with a party of 3, so I had to call and figure out the extra booking cost for the extra person. It was not expensive, but you should be aware that there is one. (As I recall, it was only an extra $10 per person/per night.) Also, when you book with Priceline, you do not pay online you pay after your stay is done. Another helpful tip... if you are not from Canada, there is a large sales tax added onto the charge which is not included in the Priceline cost (at least for me).

Generally, there was a mix of ages of people staying at Le Boise. The drive from the hotel to the mountain was simple and only took about 10 minutes. From what I understand, most of the rooms have a small refrigerator, and small TV. There is a common kitchen with full utensils and pots/pans that are available for public use during breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you want to pack your food. If you are traveling with kids, there is a small TV in the lounge with Xbox hooked up. Regarding pets, the owners have a old St. Bernard that they keep outside. I do not know if pets were allowed, so you should call in advance.

All in all, I would stay again at Le Boise.

My friends and my family had a great time staying in Le Boise Du Lac for four days. The Motel and the lake are so quiet and beautiful. Fabinenne and Vincent are very friendly and warm. We will refer our friends to this nice place and we will come again next summer.

My husband and I have stayed here at least a handful of times when visiting the Saint Jovite/Mont Tremblant area. The rates are reasonable and the owners and their sons are always most gracious and helpful whenever we have stayed here. There is a nice, small lake and swimming area for adults and children to enjoy. Canoes and pedal boats are available. as well as various games and play equipment for families to use. The way a get-away in the mountains should be. Saint Jovite is only a 6 to 7 minute drive. A great little town with many stores and good restaurants. Mont Tremblant resort is about a 15 minute drive and definitely should not be missed, but Le Boise du Lac is definitely a more charming, down-to-earth place to stay.

Great place for the whole family with plenty of activities. The hosts Fabienne ,VIncent and their sons are extremely kind and accomodating. They took out three times their St. Bernard and mascot Puce so that our 5 year old son could give pat him on the head. Your small children will love the nice beach where they could walk and play in the shallow water. Plenty of fun equipement on the beach - pedal boats, canoes, row-boats, flotation devices for young and big kids. Outside the beach you can play badminton, basketball, soccer and ping pong. Plenty of chairs and BBQ to eat outside. Everyone has access to a fully equipped kitchen as well.

Super friendly atmosphere and great service. If you looking for fun place to stay that would be the one. Great lake for swimming and other water activities, clean rooms, coffee in the morning. Easy access to Tremblant Resort and other near by places. You don't have to sell your children to visit Le Boise Du Lac and reservation process is plain and simple. Recommend very much.
