“A great B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

After almost two weeks on the road, each night at a different location, Au NIDaigle was just what we were looking for. Great hospitality, comfortable surroundings, wonderful room, grounds on which to take a walk, and a great hostess. We have stayed at several B&Bs and would rate this one at the top. Plus the morning breakfast was out-of-the-ordinary and delicious. Given all that it is, we felt it was a great value.

This is one of the very best B&Bs we have stayed in. Great hospitality, super clean, they have thought of everything for your comfort. The breakfast was AWESOME. Norma was very helpful advising us what to and where to eat.

My wife and I were very satisfied with our stay at the Au NIDaigle B&B. Unfortunately for us; we had only booked one night, as a stop over on our way home to Ontario from our trip to the Maritimes. I mentioned to my wife that I wish we had stayed another night or two because the place was so nice and we would have loved to visit the Botanical Gardens.

The Au NIDaigle was a very nice bed and breakfast. The house and guest rooms were large, nicely decorated and clean. The property was also very nice and we enjoyed the walk down to the river. We stayed in the Champagne room, which was well appointed and had a nice balcony overlooking the back yard and a stunning full moon that night.

Norma’s breakfast was delicious, substantial, and she served us some local favourites. My only complaint (if you could call it that) was that we were seated with a couple that only spoke French and we only spoke English, which made it a bit awkward.

Overall, a very nice stay and we would definitely return if we ever found ourselves in Edmundston again.

We stayed a night at Au NIDaigle on a trip from Nova Scotia to Toronto. It was one of the best B&Bs we've been to - comfortable, peaceful, efficiently run. Very attractive grounds at the back... One minor criticism - too much furniture in the rooms!

Beautiful grounds, quiet and spacious room, charming hosts and an excellent and hearty breakfast (eggs benedict!) - what more could you ask for in a B & B? Norma was charming through and through and even gave us dinner suggestions for town. Our room was spacious (we had the Pinot Noir) and very quiet. Well equipped with blowdryer, robes, slippers. Great location, close to the highway and Edmunston - but not close enough to feel that you're in the city. No hesitation in recommending this place.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

My fiance and I stayed here for one night in August 2012. The positive reviews on Tripadvisor are well deserved! The house and our room were very clean and nicely decorated. The hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable, and walked us through the amenities of the house and also recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness towards guests was what made our stay especially great.

We stayed in the Bordeaux room which has a balcony, satellite tv, comfortable queen size bed, therapeutic bath in the washroom, and a shower (separate from the bath). When you check in, the hostess will ask when you want to have your breakfast and there are only a few time slots. If you are first to check in that day, you have your pick of breakfast times.

Breakfast started with ploye, a regional specialty, followed by eggs benedict which is served with fresh fruit. A variety of pastries, fruit juices, and cheeses were also on the dining table for guests to help themselves. Everything we ate tasted delicious!

The only negative comment I have would have to be with the air conditioning unit in our room. It was a little warmer than usual on the evening of our stay, so we turned the air conditioner on before going to bed. The unit made some loud clanking noises in the middle of the night that woke us up and prevented us from falling asleep again until we turned it off. In hindsight, we could have kept the sliding door to the balcony open since it had a screen, so that's a tip for the next guests who like it a bit cooler for sleeping.
